My 991 Cab Build

Coming out of a 997.2 Carrera Cab.

Here is my 991 Cab Build, What do you think?

Category Order no. Individual equipment Prices*
Packages P37 BOSEŽ Audio Package $2,420
P3C Premium Package Plus with Adaptive Sport Seats Plus $6,155
Exterior Color 7V Cabriolet Roof in Blue $0
N4 Dark Blue Metallic $710
Interior Color CJ Platinum Grey leather front seats $0
Exterior 636 ParkAssist (front and rear) $380
Performance 250 Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) $4,080
Wheels 427 20-inch Carrera Classic wheel $2,730
Wheel Accessories 446 Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest $185
Interior 583 Smoking package $0
P07 Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) $0
Interior Leather 840 SportDesign steering wheel $490

I also added yachting blue carpets (not mats) they charged $700 for the custom upcharge. I tried to get seat backs painted exterior color, but they are not offering it yet

I know some of you will say sport chrono is a must with PDK, but I chose the premium package plus as this will be my daily car. The power seats and keyless entry will be much more comfortable.

Never had PDK before and this is my 3rd 911. (wife is starting to annoy at the manual)

This looks like a Base car. It think your steering wheel price is a bit off, I find it for $250. You should think about full leather, you may have it somewhere in your build but it doesn't look like it. I would trade the park assist for the Sport chrono every day of the week!

Sports chrono is worth it. Can be added afterwards but prob better with your build. Park assist is helpful in daily driving and parking IMO.

Steering wheel price increases when you get PDK, and park assist is only a few hundred dollars, when compared with sport chrono for a few thousand.

I will never track the car, PDK has sport button, only thing i'm missing is DEM and sport plus. All items I would never notice, except on resale value.

I think people on these forums think this is a must have but I know when I was looking for my 997 I didn't care if it had the sport chrono or not ... even now when I want to buy the 991 I still don't see it as a must have though if money was no object what the heck I would get it.

I know it has some nice features for the PDK but I think I wouldn't really want to use launch control too often if I did have it ... how good can this be for the car ?

You'll get your money back at sell/trade time if the car has the Sport Chrono package. After nearly two years of PDK ownership, I know I wouldn't buy a PDK-equipped car w/o it. It's much more than a stopwatch sticking out of the top of your dash.

Sorry, but the Sport Chrono option MUST be added at the factory. It is not an option that can be added after the car is built. If you want it, you need to have the factory put it in.

The DEM (dynamic engine mounts) are well worth the price of the package. Even as a daily driver, which is what my car is, they really help negate most of the ill effects of the engine location. The car becomes even more stable and a lot of engine NVH is removed from the seat of your panys.

Looks great. Should be a beauty. +1 on SC. With a cab I would have to get PSE.

im sorry but the people that insist on sport chrono for resale are not going to be buying the cars when you sell....

i've owned a handful of porsche's and people ask if it has sport chrono, nav, etc but end of day when you tell them "i've priced it 2500 cheaper than anyone else because no sport chrono.." they would rather have the 2500 than the wart on the dash..

sport chrono used to be interested (sport mode) but honestly who really NEEDS launch control? and who will actually ever notice the Dynamic Engine Mounts that are designed for high speed turns (most owners if you scanned the ECU never go over 85mph and never take the car much past 6k and dont even know what "kickdown" mode is...)

end of the day, buy what YOU want and dont worry about resale because the dealer will screw you on trade in regardless of your options...

I really agree with all those who say you need the Sport Chrono. I have had two friends that really regretted not getting it. I have PDK and the car is so different when you turn it on. It is my favourite option by far. You can't add this at a later date. It is money well spent if you do any spirited driving at all...and isn't that why we drive a Porsche 911

If you get PDK you must get SC. If you get 6MT, you dont need it..
