The new 991 C4S!!
So far I've found no plausible explanation for it though.

edit...
Oh btw it's 6mm per side not 10mm... I figure we're paying about 1K per mm for the difference between the narrow vs wide body so lets keep those mm on there!!

+1
Too many badges on the back ends of the 991 and 981 series in my opinion as well, but that's an easy DYI fix.

Hmmmm interesting... first you reply to something from over 600 posts back.

And then you hit us with jokes about the superiority of your narrow body 997 as well as your narrow personal build... on a 991 wide body thread...
I love jokes, but if you came here to flame, you're in the wrong place.
Thanks Sid. I have been thinking about it. These sales guys are ok in general - seems like its Porsche who's dragging their feet. The car has been in the factory for almost 10 days, missed west coast bound ship zenith leader (after 5 days of production completion)..not sure why it was delayed. I'll call PCNA today to understand...

OK so you guys may remember the posts about getting rid of those unsightly empty buttons in the center console... I posted pics of a kit for sale on ebay (where some of the switches where missing).
Well I found out that this kit comes with the PSE retro fit... yep the whole damn box of switches including the housing!

I thought a PSE retrofit just came with the one button... go figure?
Anyway I decided to buy the switch kit from the dealer as I really wanted the extra PSE switch to activate the extra set of valves I'm putting on the PSE and of course fill in those empty buttons (even if they are non functional).
The kit cost $250,- plus tax and funny enough for that price there still seem to be buttons missing (empty spaces in the foam).
Kinda expensive for 3 buttons... but what the hell I just couldn't live with those blank spaces.
now if only I had the car.

edit...
Found a pic of what the center console looks like with no options... I'd say in this case the switch kit is a must!

I thought it was you, damn I don't remember "who" or "where"... I do remember the "what" though.
I'm not sure what's worse.... not remembering something because it's all one big party blur or not remembering because the party blur of a decade ago is catching up to me.
What was I talking about again...

Right "switches"... I'm sure I'm not the only one who's a little OCD about those damn empty switches.
At least for that there's an easy fix.
light at the end of the tunnel...its my C4S coupe!
just been advised by the Toronto dealer that my car is in Halifax. pick up mid to end January. I would guess closer to mid.
(was built Nov 23)

Congrats! That's great news. Keep us posted. What're the specs of your 4S?

1. I have a fat assed C4S Cab, not a skinny 997. This is clearly shown in my avatar shot of my fat assed car.
2. I am not skinny, nor do I run for pleasure, nor do I run quickly to or from anything or anyone. If they can't wait for me to walk to them, then they certainly aren't worth chasing, and if someone is chasing me, I'd rather not be winded when they catch me.
3. If you do not possess a sense of humor, or if you don't appreciate my post or my own sense of humor, then fine. Ignore me. I will be richer by your absence, and you will have something in common with my ex-wife - absent.
4. Where did I indicate that I or my car was "superior" to anything?
5. Is 600 some sort of cut off for initial replies to a thread? I must have missed that rule. Did you just make it up? (You did, didn't you?)
6. My reply was not intended to "flame" you. I don't swing in that direction, sorry, but if you do, then that's your business.
I'll be your friend if you want. Here, have a smile:

Hugs,
JB

Thank you for confirming that my initial impression was correct.
This thread is for people whom want to share info, passion and the excitement of the new C4/S.
Of course humor is always welcome... your rude, arrogant, condescending, bating comments dressed up with sarcasm are not.
Clearly my inferiority and "subconscious compensation for a physical "shortage" or inability to perform in other areas" has driven me to buy a 991... the shame!
Everyone has been able to get along here from 996, 997, Benz, Aston Martin, GTR, Ferrari etc... non have equated their ride to a mere "mode of transportation" as you have, nor been negative or rude.
After over 600 pages of enjoying and sharing posts I can unequivocally say...you have no business here.
Go troll somewhere else!!
