991 base with 20'' wheels for daily use

I would like to get a base 991 and wonder if this car with 20'' wheels (I like the Carrera Classic wheels) and without PASM is suitable for daily use or if it the suspension is too hard.

I am grateful for comments and opinions, of course particularly from people who had a chance to test drive such a car and compare it to an S or a base 991 with PASM (and to a base with 19'' wheels without PASM), comparing comfort on bumpy roads, vehicle handling, and driving characteristics.

The car is supposed to be my daily driver to work (and will also be used for weekend-trips and holidays!).

I wouldn't do it. One of the reasons I ordered a base car was for the 19" wheels. I would have gone 18" if it was an option. Daily driving on New York streets can be brutal, not to mention curb rash. Now if you're in Holland...No problem on 20". The dutch have never seen a bad road.

Thank you for your input. I live in Switzerland and the roads are not too bad around here .
I had a look at your thread and can say that I have some similar options in mind (including agate grey, black interior, full-leather, park assist front and rear, seat heating). However I find the 20'' wheels look somewhat better than the 19'' wheels, probably because of the large wheel cases that Porsche may have chosen for the 991 with 20'' wheels in mind.
Do you think that the rigidity of the larger wheels may be compensated partly by chosing "comfort pressure" in the tire pressure menu?

I test drove drove both with 20"s.
I am no expert but honestly I couldnt tell the difference, PASM vs No PASM wise.
Both drove great, the base was not hard at all and waaaay better than the 997 With 18"s I tested the same day.
Worth to mention that I cancelled my 991S order and bought a stripped Base with 20"s.

"chosing "comfort pressure" in the tire pressure menu?"

Wait, what? I am unfamiliar with this feature?

Has anyone seen the 20" Sport Techno wheels in person and if so how do they look?

That was another reason why i went for the c2 also. The roads are truly awful in our area.

Comfort tire pressure for summer tires up to 165 mph (270 km/h)
The comfort tire pressure speed threshold permitted for your vehicle depends on the national type standardization and is displayed under "Comfort pressure" in the "Tire pressure" menu on the multi-function display.

FA = front axle, RA = rear axle

You can get curb rash on any size rims. Hint...don't hit the curb

Drove the 991S several times with 20" rims and found the crappiest roads to do so... no issues but that's in the the S (which has PASM) if you do not have PASM (optioned on base) then it'll be a little harsher ride than the 19's.

I've ordered mine with 20" Carerra Classic wheels, absolutely love them!

I love these wheels, advertised in the UK as winter wheels. Any idea what model number?
