Newbie to 911s

Hello 911'ers:

I'm a long time listener, first time caller to your forum. I've been following since the 991 announcement and will dip my toe for the first time in the Porsche pool with a future 991 C4S, white, brown top, espresso interior, turbo wheels with all the PDK, etc...accessories.

I stopped into the Princeton, NJ Champion Porsche dealer today for a look see and they had 5 991S in many colors on the lot. First impressions where very impressive especially since I'm 6' 3", 220lbs and fit comfortably with no issues. I really feel like finally they got the interior spot on. Feels and looks like a $100K car. I can't wait until the fall to pick up mine. Dealer said I could order most likely in late spring and arrive early fall...I'm not holding my breath

Welcome, you've hit the best spot on the net for Porsches, I least I think so. List all the options you chose and when you finally get your car post pictures or it didn't happen.

BTW, you're not the guy who sold the koolaid are you?

Believe me I know...from being on MB SL forums...we treat fakers the same...I currently own an R230 SL600 with Renntech upgrades and many more mods...I look forward to becoming a 991 owner.

Welcome! Sounds like a beauty you have planned. That wait is gonna be tough. You may be dipping that toe sooner than you think. I ordered a loaded 991S in November and after several delays due to some Exclusive options I had ordered, I couldn't wait any longer for my long awaited dream so I bought a new TTS. Loving every minute of it.

If you scour this forum as did I during the wait, you won't make it till fall

Welcome to the Jackel & Hyde section

I'm a Benz man too but my real love lies with Porsche... there is no substitute!
I'm also waiting for the 991 C4S (cab though), put a deposit on the C2S cab but... that wide rear end is worth the wait (at least that's what I tell myself... everyday!!) so now I've got my name on the first C4S allocation at the dealer.

I'm thinking it's going to be more like Fall builds, winter delivery, guess we'll see... hell I'll be happy if it's actually going to get unveiled this spring .

Arghhhhh the waiting, the waiting... if I wasn't nuts already it would most certainly drive me crazy.

Cheers!

PS here's a pic I look at when I need a little patience boost...

Yes, I'm a drop top, phat booty man, too. It will be worth the wait. This by far is the most anticipated car purchase I've ever made, but then again I've never anticipated buying Porsche until now. I've had Chevy, Dodge, Benz, Audi, but never Porsche. I'm actually getting rid of my A8L and SL600 when the Porsche arrives. Hence, the need for all wheel drive in Pennsylvania.

SBA911 is infamous around these parts
Waiting to order my C4S too. Dealer has no info and I've not been able to find anything yet. Can't wait to find out how they treat the wide body look.

Your timelines seem a bit more optimistic that my guess. I'd be thrilled to get delivery this year. Will still miss my 997.2 C4S though...

I feel you. The salesman contacted me today by email and phone to express his thanks for me stoppiing in and inquirying.

So he is on it. Although, I don't think I will see one until 2013 based on others that I've spoken with. Either way, a few months won't make a difference...the problem with time is I keep changing my mind on the type of wheels, color, interior choices...etc... that I want. Everytime I see someone's Porsche I go, "oooohhh maybe I can get that combo"...it's mindnumbing...but very fun.
