Day 2 with 991-S and it left me stranded!
In the USA how ever you leave your car is the way it will be ... in other words, you leave autostart off ... it will stay off until you change it by physicaly pushing the button ... unless something changed for the 2013 models this is the way it is in the USA
Other countries it is different ...

It makes me all warm and fuzzy to learn by this thread how Porsche has supported it Dealers, and Purchaser's. It appears that it is Porsche Goal to get back that engine and tear thru it to find out the cause of the issue, and all the while taking care of their customers with information and a sense of urgency.
In this day and time of customer service at an all time low (Imho), and only profits driving some other manufacturers, it is refreshing to know how Porsche has raised the bar so high that others may not be able to follow.
At some point in the near future, you can post your Vin privately to another member or check yourself, to see how Carfax reports your specific issue. I'd be curious...

OK. . . I promise this is the last time I write on this topic, but I think I just figured it out. I tried a couple of things while I was out and about this morning and found out that my car simply remembers the last position I had set before turning the ignition off for Auto Stop/Start. The only thing I do not know is if this has to do with Porsche Entry and Drive, which I do have.

Funny i just saw this thread...the same thing happened in the first week i had the car but it did restart eventually after shutting everything down. I now have 3500 miles on it and it hasn't recurred.
Frankly too much electronic crap, not needed, not wanted but required to pay for through skilfull manipulation of options and option packages by manufacturers. The master... without a doubt..... PORSCHE!!
