Looking for a dealer who is willing to work on numbers on a new 991 S. Any guys hanging around here?

 

why don't you walk in to a dealer near you?

 

I did, they don't have one to sell right now. They have a demo coming up for sale next month but they sound like they are trying to be stiff on the price. I have no problem traveling to buy for a good deal, instead of buying from a dealer who's trying to stiff me.

Good to know, I appreciate all the info i can get. I figure the larger the pool of dealers I can work with the more leverage I have for negotiating a good deal. It really bothers me that they are being so stingy on the 991 right now, as I have known the dealer for quite some time and brought 2 Porsches from them in the last 14 months.

 

Just start emailing dealers that show stock online, say if you will take 7% off of
stock number XXX..I will take it.

 

i dont think your getting 7% without any previous relationship.... and/or cold calling.

I know your offer to share some dealers that are giving good discounts was not directed to me, but I am planning to buy a 2013 base 991 and I would certainly appreciate any dealer names and/or salepeople that you or anyone else can share with me.

My original intention was to buy a 2012 but I have been holding off due to the high demand and the low discounts offered by the Houston dealers. I am retired and have time on my hands so I don't mind buying a car in any city. I have always been able to buy autos near dealer invoice and I just can't bring myself to pay near MSRP.
