Solution for blank buttons?

I'm sure no one here is really a big fan of having a bunch of blank buttons. Has anyone found any use for them? Are there set fuses behind them? I was thinking of linking a few of the buttons to some more garage doors/gates and whatnot (when I finally get the car). Any other ideas?
Why did they fit so many buttons anyways? Can they all actually be filled up from the factory?

I have the same opinion of these blank buttons. I don't believe that the current factory options would use all the buttons, I think I have three open and it's a fully optioned car?

Laughing... I could not agree more! I love it when girls get in the car and ask. I usually make up some space-age non-sense to test their sense of humor. My favorite so far, "this button is the Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator," don't press that. Of course the "Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator" is from the the Martian on Bugs Bunny.

haha! That just gave me some ideas.. Makes me want to custom order a vinyl sticker that says 'Space Modulator' 'Q-36' or 'NOS'(jk!) in very small font that matches other buttons, or something decorative along those lines to place on the blanks.
Or perhaps '911' or '991'. (but that would take away from the non-sense humor)

Edit: ^lol! Passenger ejection button would be pretty humorous.

If one had the skills and materials, you could put in a USB slot, perhaps AUX, video in, radar on/off switch?

Probably not feasible for a few reasons but it's fun to play.

Or, at least enough to have an even number of used buttons. Having more chrome strips on one side than the other really looks lame

Thanks TSpyder!

This is good news as mine is a July build (which means it is 2013, right? ). I really hated the look of the black plastic "spacers" between the unused buttons - and if I am correctly they replace even the first and the last spacer with a crome version - thumbs up.

Any other news regarding changes for 2013 builds?

All 991's built from June on are 2013's with options, eg, the glass sunroof, shown on the "build you Porsche" site.

I take Zuffenhausen delivery of a 2013 991S PDK on 20 June.
