I'm closing in on delivery in a few weeks and so am very interested in this topic. Question --- are you using your dealer to apply the film, or are you using a third party?

I am not using my dealer. Using a detailer/specialist.

Just had a clear bra put on this week. Did the front bumper, full hood, headlights and mirrors.
For those in Texas, no matter where you are, Norm at Invisibra in Carrollton (DFW area) is the guy to go to. I searched several forums, and his name kept popping up here and there. I drove from Houston, and I can't stress enough how happy I am that I went there. I'm super picky about my car, and his work is top notch.

If you are willing to go to northern NJ I would contact Phil at Detailers Domain. He is one of the best detailers around and they do some amazing clear bra work also.

He's pretty much the only pro I would go to with my car (I'm a nut and love to detail myself).

Just went over to Premier in Fremont today in Nor Cal for a quote. Front bumper, hood, and fenders - $2,000. I almost fell over. I know they do good work and saw a silver 991 being done, but I'm thinking I might consider other installers. Any recommendations?

You get what you pay for. Judging by the installations they've posted, it is probably well worth it. In the end, if you save a few hundred bucks, it may cost that and more to fix later. Just my opinion of course
