Does anybody know how long it usually takes to process a car once the Vessel arrives in Port. My car was on the Marguerite Ace which arrived June 14 at Davisville RI. My dealer told me today that it is showing as still processing at port....but from everything I have read most cars usually show up about a week after the ship arrives. So I am just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to process at Davisville RI? I want my car!!!!

 

It took 6 days for mine but it was over a holiday weekend. Then the dealer wanted at least 2.

just to clarify.....6 days before it left port on a truck or 6 days to get to your dealer?

 

It was 6 days at the port (with a 3 day weekend), 1 day travel and 2 days dealer prep. I don't think that for every car. I would suspect it would depend where you were in line getting off the boat and these boats hold a lot of cars.

Seems like the closer it gets to delivery the less patient I become.....I am like the annoying kid in the back seat of a car but instead of saying "Are we there yet, are we there yet"...I am saying to my dealer "Is it here yet, is it here yet, is it here yet....." Can't control myself. LOL.

 

I'm on the same boat. mine is getting onto "marina ace" as of now in emden and the wait is driving me nuts.

 

Mine was in port 12 days, 1 day to dealer and I had it the following day.

Tachyon, when was your car completed? I'm hoping mine will be on the Marina Ace. It was completed last Wednesday.

 

Mine was completed on 6/11 (initially estimated 6/14 by Porsche) and was told that it was on vessel few days later What does the system say about the status? Your sales guy mentioned any? If it says "on vessel" then it should be loaded onto Marina Ace now.

fyi the boat is still at Emden. check the attached image.

 

Mine was supposed to be completed on 6/14 also, but I received an email from the dealer on 6/13 saying it was done. I was told that they wouldn't receive a status report until it was on the ship. I can't imagine that it would take more than a week to transport the car to Emden, so I'm hoping it's been loaded and will be in Davisville on July 2.

Port on 6/14: Davisville RI
Dealer on 6/19: Delaware.
Mine on 6/20
Driving everywhere from then on

 

if it was 6/13 only 2 days after mine was completed. I'm sure it's on Marina Ace along with mine. I just checked the status of the boat and it will arrive on 7/2 which is 1 day ahead of schedule.

I have one on order as well, to arrive early August, and the wait is excruciating.
