New 6spo member... 991S ordered
I especially like the carrera S wheels painted, i wanted aftermarket, but those are my favoriite OEM wheels, I would seriously consider another 2500 for the burmeister sound. The Bose on my 997s was crappy, but the Burmeister on my 991 is unbelievable, and in a coupe Id imagine even better. Nice Build overall,

Those are two 997s!! Are you still convinced it doesn't make a difference?
I don't mean to dismiss the legitimacy of your viewpoint but when you start championing the stereo over the newest and potentially most significant performance option on the world's most celebrated sports car... after a 20 minute test on the street... words fail me...
You might be right, since only time will tell. But your conclusions are neither scientific (see video), nor thorough.

I think you misread a bit. Never did I say that PDCC didn't make a difference, it was just a difference I did not feel nor did I think it was worth $3.2K as I extensively drove both versions and didn't come away
too impressed with it. I could have easily checked the box, but in the end PDCC fell off the list very quickly replaced by other options I would enjoy more and be willing to pay for.
My field of expertise is technology and believe me, new is not always the best, it must be refined a bit over time. I just don't sign off on things because they are "new",...or if Porsche thinks I should. It has to have some sort of tangible benefit for me before I select it, new or otherwise. To me PDCC just fell short in its first iteration. For some it might be great. I'm hoping they do more with it in the next version.
Now as far as "championing" Burmester or any other option over PDCC I sure as heck can because for me it was a much more tangible difference (as was full leather and many other options I selected) that I felt was money well spent.
Words fail you?,....I guess they do as nothing in this thread (including my comments and yours, videos, etc) is any proof that PDCC is any sort of a better "drive" compared to a version void of it for a street driven 991. And there are just as many publications and reviews denouncing it as there are ones supporting it. None of this is very scientific or thorough either way, just opinion.
As with any Porsche option, it's all up to the individual and what they perceive as value and to their liking.
Appreciating the inputs. I ordered PDCC for my cab s. simply figured its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Also was swayed my Porsche promotional matl saying it gave a better ride on all surfaces. I'm not taking it on track, but do frequent mountain drives. It was the one option I struggled with the most having read all the reviews out there, but finally bit the bullet.
