swap base 991 for 2009 turbo cab?

I may have an opportunity to swap my 991 base coupe (msrp 86k) for a 2009 turbo cab manual with 17k miles. It would be even money thanks to a family friend used car manager. What say you guys?

If the turbo is in good condition its a no brainer just from a financial standpoint as the turbo is worth approx $15- 20k more.

Must be more to the story? ......if not, I say go for it.

Looks like a very good deal to me.
For a DD, I would keep the base 991; for a weekend toy, the 991 Turbo hands down.
Mine is not a DD and I am dying for a 2010 Turbo S on the dealers lot, what a fun car to drive, I am just one inch to pull the trigger, a lot of money involved though.

I just got back from test driving the 09' turbo cab and I must say I really didn't like it. The interior felt far less comfortable than my 991 and not nearly as nice. The drive was okay. I liked the familiar steering but I didn't like the non linear acceleration and I found the 07' GT3 I drove a few weeks ago to be a much more fun and satisfying drive. I think I may lay back and see what the 991 GT3 looks/drives like. That may be a viable option or perhaps a 2010 GT3 or the sure bet 2012 GTS which I know and love. Next.

I'd trade in the one you have on the 991 turbo; it won't be that long and you're going to give up a great chassis!

From a financial perspective, without a doubt. Execute that deal, happily drive the Turbo for 2-3 years, then pick up a used 991 for near even money.
