Brake Dust Repellent

This product looks interesting. Does anyone have any experience with the product BrakeDustRepellent (BDR)?

This is the best I've found... works great for a few weeks.

I've tried them all... watch the video on that link, you'll be impressed.

Agree, works very well! Initially I was worried about the spray hitting the brake rotors etc. Does not seem to be a problem, works as well as the video in the link.

Looks pretty good! Can you confirm that you have tried BDR?

I tried a few of these products and they left a whitish residue film on my wheels. Did not look. I have stock Turbo wheels.. I followed the directions carefully....

I been using a product by EagleOne called 'KEEP CLEAN WHEEL PROTECTOR' and I liked the results. It started to run low and I had trouble finding a replacement so I switched over to Meguiar's 'Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier' and now my wheels have a heavy white film and look bad. Not sure if it was the Meguiars or the mixture of the two..... but now I got a lot of scrubbing to do.

Dennis, I tried the EagleOne too, and I thought it worked fine until I tried Armor All wheel protectant. Huge difference. No white hue to my wheels anymore. I use a leaf blower to dry them WELL once they're clean, spray them, and let them dry for at least an hour. This may sound ridiculous, but the AA Extreme Wax works great too. It beads up better than anything else I've used, and sells for about $16. I did a search on hydrophobic waxes and this was the most economical one that I thought might be able to bead round enough to blow off using my Echo. It doesn't last like Collinite, but it's pretty durable. My car's a daily driver, so I want something that's easy to apply and easy to maintain.

Thanks Dcreed10!
Based on your recommendation I bought the AA product last week. After spraying the product on the wheels, I drove several hundred miles and I can tell a big difference from what it used to be.

Target carries it and cheaper than anywhere else too. Great product that really works (does dull black wheels a little, not noticeable on silver).
