My first Porsche, '13 991S Cab

Following this forum for the last 2 months has been very helpful and has given me lots to think about as I get ready to pick up my first porsche in a few hours. I got an "early" release production of a '13 991 S cab due to a glitch in the building process of my '12. After 3 months it is finally here! Even better is the fact that I'm on vacation and spend time with it. Appreciate any input to a new owner...

Enjoy the car.

Post pics and list your spec when you can.

congrats

agree with clear bra. drive mine around nyc thru the lincoln tunnel daily and would be upset had i not installed the full clear bra. i would avoid the partial install as the lines are clearly visible. also with convertible pse is a must.

I've had mine for a week, and I just love it. Clear bra is being installed next week.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the advice, I definitely will be getting the bra installed. I had it on my last car and it definitely is a worthwhile expense. The technician has started covering the entire hood of the ferraris he's doing and it seems like a great idea, anyone had any experience? Hows that look?

Initial thoughts from a new 911 owner...unbelievable! I understand I am new to Porsche, but I have had a S5(v8), clk55amg, and a 335is dinan, and this car is in a different league. I had more throw you back in your seat torque with the AMG but never the stability, cornering and road feel of the 991.

In response to the other threads, my cab has no discernaible creaks, my PDCC was incredible through the mountain roads in southern Virginia and I did notice a difference in roll in sport plus mode. The black basalt is beautiful, but I got the all leath Luxor beige which does give you some reflective glare on the windshield, so consider that.

The entire hood is the way to go......NO seams and complete protection....you cant even tell its on there....and I'll throw a vote out there for Xpel Ultimate film.

Again I agree if price is OK. I have 1/2 hood coverage which works but is a pain after waxing. Wax builds at seam and I have to use a tooth brush to clear. I would also get rear lower panels protected. Xpel is great.

I had the half hood on the bMW and I agree it was a pain to wax. Thanks for the input I'll be doing whole hood. What do you guys use for the leather interior?

Don't forget the mirrors, they are only $35.
