the 991 noise is not fake, it's intake noise... which is why it's not like exhaust and more on/off.

other cars have fake noise, from speakers/etc..

This engine, apart from the fact that it goes like stink, is a musical instrument to my ears at least...

Engine sound piped through electronics and speakers - that is fake.

Could not agree more-Fake is fake this is not artificial or synthesized sound. This is engine sound and I love it! PSE is definitely one option I do not regret!

 

I've seen the technician work his way down the sound symposer and there's nothing in there that is artificial or electronically amplified. I think it's great fun and with or without the PSE no one should be unhappy with it.

 

i love the fake engine noise. all the benefits of the sound without blowing bicyclists off the road (i'm a cyclist and cant stand all those harley guys with the straight pipes)
