Traded my Base!
Hey guys, earlier today I traded my 12' white bare bones M/T Base Carrera for a 13' fully spec Base w/PDK, no “S” for me yet, hehe.
The platinum silver which BTW looks awesome in this car and the PDK tranny sold me out, I was getting tired of rowing gears in intense traffic and for I don’t know what reason, I didn’t like my 991 in white, even though it’s one of my favorite colours in other cars.
Took a huge depreciation hit but still I am happier than a dog with two tails, now waiting for the 991 turbo!
Sorry for the crappy pics taken at the dealers port deposit, couldn’t wait to post them. More scenic pics to follow.

Congratulations, Galion!!! That's exactly what happened to me. Since I've had the PDK, however, I'm finding it doesn't just end a tiresome task in traffic situations, it adds a pleasure by making shifting a pleasure you can enjoy when you want to.

Hmm, lets see. 04 months old, 3,000km (1,800miles). took a 26% hit for the trade.
We dont get many allocations so these cars are really hot. The problem is that for every 20 potential buyers, only one is willing to buy a manual Porsche (Like me). Unlike USA, manual cars are the norm here, even grannys drive manuals, and it is often associated with cheap technology, so nothing fancy about it.
I am sure that after a year or so when the Turbo hits the street and I buy one, the depreciation hit of my PDK 991 will be less, thats a fact.
Congrats! Listen to your heart (if you can afford it!) and enjoy the new car

I just saw my dealer tonight and test drove a '12 7mt 991S. Neat car
Thought I wanted a 7mt, but decided I'm going for the '13 C4S cab with a PDK. Hopefully they can get me on the October build but he cautioned me it might be next spring or even later before I see the car.
I'm trading a '13 Audi S5 w/4000 miles that I traded an '09 C4S cab for 2-3 months ago. Sure is nice I'm not the only one trying to find where I want to be with these cars. Can be a little painful in the pocketbook though, for sure. Congrats again!
