OK... impressive time but ehhhhhhm, well....guess I'm gonna be the first one to say that that is some of the sloppiest driving I've seen at this level of performance...
Damn he's all over the place and what's up with the throttle control...
Checkout the first 60 sec and you'll see what i'm talking about and it re-occurs throughout the rest of the video too.
He sure is going fast but man it's almost like he's just holding on while the car is taking him for a drive (and throwing him around in the process).

This from AutoGuide.
"After the brand’s new hypercar finished its hot laps, it seems Porsche also wanted to test the new 911 Carrera S, where it managed a time of seven minutes and 37 seconds around the Nürburgring.
Racing driver Timo Kluck piloted the vehicle around the track a whole two seconds faster than it took the 2010 911 turbo to make the same run. Powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six the Carrera S makes 400 hp transferred to wheels by a PDK automatic transmission. That combination makes 60 mph possible in just 3.9 seconds when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package."

The bigger issue is that he is fidgety. Notice he is adjusting his seat belt, mirror or glasses throughout the video. He is clearly quite relaxed driving a car at speed.

Guys, this isn't Timo "Kluck" but Timo Glock, the Formula 1 driver. And yes, even though his team's F1 car is (comparatively) slow and he's consistently at the back of the field, he is very much used to 320 km/h and 5g pulls. So much for "sloppy driving"

In the beginning he is either getting a feel for the brakes or trying to get some heat in them. For the rest of the video, I think it might be an issue with the video. I have had issues that sounded like this when you are applying throttle in really bumpy corners. If traction is on, it could be that it is interfering. I have also had it happen to a lesser degree with traction off.

Seriously though... if you Google (video) "Timo Glock drives the Porsche 991"... nothing pops up (one drag race which is unrelated).
You do get a lot on F1 stuff but NOTHING on him driving the 991.
Not so with Timo Kluck... there are many videos and articles connecting him with the 911/991.
Also anyone who's seen Timo Glock's race video's and interviews can see he's the epitome of F1 pilots, well spoken, elegant, strong, level headed... a man with character and charisma... hell he'd have to be stoned, drunk and blindfolded to drive as erratic as above!

Check out videos of Timo Kluck and you'll see he is the opposite of Timo Glock... in every way!
Just view the attached vid and you'll see that it's the same "driving style" as the original posted by the OP... that's because it's the same driver, Timo Cluck!

He may have gotten an excellent time but damn his style is murder!
kinda makes ya wonder what time a professional F1 driver like Timo Glock would have been able to get!!
Cheers!
.
LOL say it aint so!!

Makes me curious how an F1 driver would drive the car, though. The only video I know of offhand is of Mark Webber in a GT2 RS:
Ah, good idea to check with Google before making random claims! I didn't even know that Timo Kluck is a race driver and thus blindly assumed it was Timo Glock, even though he doesn't really look like him in the fuzzy inset picture. I stand corrected.

Oh and I guess driving a 991 at 10/10th on the N'ring.

Great driving Timo, very impressive time for a base 991.
BTW it's the Carrera S not the base... enough said.
IF you look at the revs during the beginning of his lap, you'll notice he is accelerating and then off the gas and braking repeatedly. As someone mentioned earlier, he is either brake checking or heating up the brakes to avoid issues in the first few turns.
