thigos is on a distinguished road
Great Video. Thanks.

He says he has all the driver aids off in the boxter S on the road course. Doesnt that disable the rear wheel braking that is the Torque vectoring system? hmmm...

Wonderful video!! Thanks for posting! I must say I'm a little confused also in that he says that this will be a comparison about an all up Boxster S against a Basic Carrera. Then he says we'll see if this trick differential can help, then he tells us he's turned off all the driver aids and finally he tells us again that the trick differential doesn't make the car match up.

I also have a question for you track guys. I like to race sport sailboats (Melges 24s) and I know that during the race, If I don't have 100% concentration 100% of the time I will get beaten by the other Melges 24s. It's all about the helmsman and crew knowing their jobs and concentrating 100% of the time to perform their tasks. Given that, I don't know how anyone could get precise numbers racing around the track while talking about his impressions. I know I couldn't do that effectively. Could you guys talk to you wife on the cell or practice your German lesson and get your best time at the track?

Also, is a fully tripped out Boxster S really that much cheaper than the base Carrera with no options?

Not really....both are around 80k.

I will say...I think the new Boxster is absolutely gorgeous!! If it had another 50 or so HP I would have a very difficult time choosing the 991S over it.

Kind of off topic but when discussing the mid engine Boxster it gets me excited to think of Porsches new project....the 961...also mid engine based off the 981.....this car is going to be really special...and I suspect will be a thorn in the side of Ferrari and Mac for potential buyers of the 458 & MP4-12c-24FF or whatever they call it.
