I was brought up to never ask how much did it cost, how much do you earn and what did the Doctor say. My answer on the cost is "a lot" and leave it there.
On what Porsche's cost I've got an order in on a 991S Cab and the options are about $65K (it's expensive to buy a Porsche in Canada) and you can't buy new/special order from a US dealer.

I don't see a reason to just tell someone if they ask ... it's natural for people wanting to know and really google will tell them in a few minutes.
It is not my style to ask others the cost of things but people do and really it is what it is ...

Coincidentally, I was just asked this today (from a guy who works at a local car insurance place, Allstate).
He asked,"How much do they go for now?"
I responded,"New, about 100."
What gets people is that there are really no options. Sometimes people follow up with "I bet a nice one is another $30k", they look at me funny when I tell them they all come fully loaded - standard.
