Gotta love it!
A couple of weeks ago I ordered a PSE for my 991S, but they were on backorder, none in the States. Today I got the call that it was in, so I dropped the car this afternoon to have it installed.
Perfect timing: I start a nice long vacation Saturday, Monday I am heading down to Southeast Ohio (and possibly beyond) for 5 days of twisty roads and blissful ignorance of all things stressful.
I love it when something like this "comes together". If I tried to plan it, it never would have happened

I find it very visceral and intoxicating experience with the PSE engaged.
Much different (and I find better) than on previous water-cooled 911's.
Last month I was in Germany with my wife (on the PCA Treffen). We had the PSE engaged the whole two days with a 991S. My wife, who likes exhaust noise says to me after about an hour on the Autobahn "you should get one of these as a daily driver". Came home and first day home ordered a 991S Cab with Powerkit, PDK and countless other options (white/red top/red interior). December production for February delivery.

Hey Z,
I have wanted to do route 555 so that's on the list. There are a lot of good references that come up when you search on "ohio motorcycling roads", like the below link. I may head even further South, I am making no set plans-my favorite kind of vacation!

I got my 991S back today with it's newly installed PSE. I have not had the opportunity to drive it much since getting it back, but the short run I took it on has convinced me that it was the right choice over doing nothing or an aftermarket exhaust.
Keeps it "all Porsche", not too loud, sounds more like a performance car now and with the press of a button it is off (not that I will, but good to have that option).
I am pleased, thanks for all the encouraging words folks!

I'm sure ya already know this but just in case... the PSE sounds even better in Sport+ mode because in that setting it runs richer, as a result you get a "fuller" sound and have more pronounced burbling/popping on the over run (from unburned fuel).
I just love it!

I did not know that Sport+ would sound different-makes sense that it does, I for one enjoy burbling and popping (at least from my Porsche).
I will be running on twisty and hilly roads soon and I will definitely check that out-Thanks Sid.
JB,
The cost was $3554.00 parts and labor. I think I would have gotten a little discount on the parts if I had purchased my 991S from that dealership. Oh well, the car remains "all Porsche", sounds great and this exhaust costs less than most aftermarket kits. That may not be a fair comparison, all things considered, but it worked for me. The Symposer still works as before.
After looking my total bill over again to write this, I now realize that on the second page I did get a nice discount on P & L, I think about $200.00-$250.00 came off after the $3554.00. Maybe because I have had all my service and upgrades on two Porsches done by them?
The dealership I go to has the absolute best Customer Service of any car dealership I have ever done business with. Everyone I have encountered at the dealership has this wonderful attitude. I am in no way affiliated with them, just a very happy Customer.
The Dealership is Porsche of North Olmsted, North Olmsted is a western suburb of Cleveland, OH.
