small mods ideas?

Ahhh, the wait is killing me... build date 12/11!!!

Anyway, I already starting to think of what little mods I can do with my new 991

Here's my car:

I am thinking, first is the euro white side markers with white LED's.
Then, powder coat the wheels with semi-matte(or gloss) black and tint the windows 35%.

What do you guys think if I plasti dip the wheel's center caps in red with black Porsche logo, and the front 2 little headlamp washer caps?

Also, I am thinking to make the rear "911 Carrera S" emblem in red, too much? Or just the "S" in red, too Toyota Corolla S like ?

How about the 2 front intake vents (left and right) black plastic pieces in red?

I just want a subtle classy touch to match the red interior. Any opinions/ideas? TIA

Beside clear corners, I wouldnt touch a thing, it will look fantastic as is, perfectly build IMO.
If my car had a red interior I would stay away from tinting, you need to show it to the world!!

I ordered white and for small touches I've been thinking of doing:

Euro Clear Corners
Black "PORSCHE" on the back (the rest is debadged on mine)
Washers in body color

Basically I want to get rid of all of the exterior chrome / polished metal finish.

I don't think you need much else to be honest.

I've ordered my white/red/red 991S Cab with pretty much everything I can imagine/afford already but am going to do the side markers immediately upon the car coming to town. Not much else planned. I got the "Mods" bug with with my 996 TT Cab and got very carried away so had to promise the wife no/little modding of the new car.

The 991S is going to be a daily driver for a couple of years before retiring it (the TT is being kept as a "TOY").

There's also some nice front lips, side skirts, rear wings etc. out there which can be purchased separately or as full body kits... then there's wheels, interior, custom jobs with coloured leather incerts, deviated painted parts etc...

Really the sky is the limit, oh ans your your wallet of course.
Regardless nice place to be in!

I think I pretty much chose most of the stuff already. Powerkit, Sport Design spoilers, full red leather interior, 18 way seats, coloured guages, Park Assist, PDK, PDCC, Wheel spacers, Bose, Coloured wheel caps, key coloured to match car, leather pouch for key, Folding mirrors painted, heated/cooled seats, Porsche entry.

Thanks, guys...

I still think coloring the rear "911 Carrera S" emblem in red would be nice?! Does anyone here has a photo of it? Perhaps ones with the emblem in black? I just want to see if that would actually look better than the chrome. Thanks.

I am a die hard fan of mods, but your car is just plain beautiful!!! Do not change it!!

Other Porsche options I would consider:

-interior trim in carbon fiber. Have in on mine (but black interior) and have seen pics of another forum member that has CF on red interior and it looks superb. If you want a bit more than what Porsche offers, MA Carbon has it.

-SPASM: not sure from what you posted, but worth it (usually people take PDCC + SPASM). Other option is aftermarket H&R springs that drop the car a little bit more.

-headlight washer cap in body color

A few aftermarket things

- Rear emblem : Black Carrera S (order the Carrera GTS part... and do not use the GT ). that's what I did on mine, see the attached picture

- body color painted rear reflectors

-CF carbon fiber valve stem caps

-14mm H&R spacers for the rear. 5mm OEM is good for the front but does not make a dramatic change at the rear. 14mm would make OEM wheels to sit nicely flush

-black exhaust tips (still looking for a nice option myself).

-Fabspeed headers with sportcats. A bit -but not too much- sound and maybe a slightly improved throttle response. No CEL issues.

I did consider, albeit very shortly the Burmester but given I have a tin ear I went with the Bose. I had Bose in my 996 TT Cab and found it more than adequate for my needs especially as the exhaust note is the symphony as far as I'm concerned. Not going any further with exhause for now as that was the start of the very slippery slope on mods on the TT. Wanted louder muffler and wound up doing headers, cats, diverters, muffler, MAF, ECU chip and TCU chip (all from EVOMS). Soon lead to the GT2 competition brake kit, PSS10's, carbon/leather steering with paddles and Recaros. Originally only mod was supposed to be the BBS RS-GT's!
The incoming car is going to be daily driver for 2-3 years and then be retired as stable mate for the 996 TT Cab which is also a keeper.
I spoke to the body/paint shop I use about getting some of the vents etc. painted white and he advised me to hold off as he think's any more white might be too much. Also, I have carbon on the TT and while I like it I didn't want to "clone" the TT look.
My wife and I both like a little "bling" look so kept the chrome washers and rear trim on purpose. Did change to have just "911" though.

Hmmm... I wonder if this 997 version is the same size as the 991 version, it seems bigger?!

Anyway, the price of the "Carrera GTS" in black is $85, but the 991 version of "Carrera S" in silver (chrome) is $36... maybe I just get this and plasti dip them in black and save $50? I guess the emblem price is proportional with the price tag of the 911
