991 Accessaries

I don't see to many reviews of some of the accessaries available for our 991's. Here are some.

Rubber Floor Mats

I am kind of a nut when it comes to carpets so I really try to keep them nice. I decided to buy the rubber mats for rainy days. As you can see from the picture, I used them today and they did the job. They are easy to snap in place and since the standard mats are easy to clean, I will continue to use the rubber mats on rainy days. One thing I did not like are the little pegs to keep the carpet in place. I put a micro fibre cloth down on the drivers pad in order to protect it from the pegs puncturing or scratching it. It worked but they should have thought a little better about preserving the drivers side pad.

Trunk Linear

As stated above, I like to keep the carpets nice. This linear is a little hard to get in an out but it can be used as a bin you can carry to or from your car. I chose to leave it in place. It protects the everything nicely.

Key Fob Holder

Not a necessity but if you have the entry system and do not need the key, it provides a nice case for the key. A little expensive but why not. It also comes in the other colors of the interiors.

I like the Weathertech "digital fit" floor mats so much I don't get the car manufacturers all weather mats any more (no offense intended airportrat). They are the first thing I buy after buying a vehicle. They fit great and keep my carpets "new" because they hold so much crap that gets dragged in. I have them in my 991S and my Forester DD, I even have the cargo area mat for the Forester. They do have the proper holes for the retention pegs and don't budge.

I also like the Trunk Liner. If you were to spill something in there (thats where I carry extra oil) no problem.

The OE rubber mats look great!
I am very dissapointed with the quality of the standard carpet floor mats, they are so thin and light. I am getting the rubber mats not just to keep the carpet mats clean but to protect them from my right shoe heel.

I am also a huge fan of protecting my carpets. I have used Weathertech "Digital Fit" Floor Liners for years. Use them year round and find them to look nice in my 991.

Also purchased the Porsche Cargo Liner. Nice, Heavy-Duty quality and tight fit, but expensive for what it is.

Any advice on Rear Seat Floor Liners/Mats? I haven't found anything yet.

Good thread idea! Can't wait to have something to share in here.

Two quick questions, please:

1) The rubber mats looks great. I'd like to put them in my car for the winter months. Where did you find them? Order online? dealer?

2) Does the trunk liner shrink the storage space at all? are the walls of the liner thin and tight to the walls of the trunk? Every millimeter counts when we are dealing with such a small trunk to begin with. I have to assume that there will be a different version made for the C4 trunk, too.

Thanks!

I agree that the all weather mats are great, I do not understand about the peg issue that the OP states. I got the all weather OEM from Porsche and has the holes for the mats to fit just like Weathertech. The OP must have the rubber mats that used to fit the 997 type 911.

I do not see much need for the trunk liner, as I use my Cayenne for larger issues with my trunk. I usually place a quart of oil in a leather pouch porsche makes and a small suitcase that I bought from Porsche when I got my first 911.

WeatherTech Floor Liner Photos. They are black, but I took the photos this evening with a flash and it gives the black interior and mats a Gray Look.

1) I got my mats at Suncoast online.

2) The trunk linear fits snug and does not diminish any space. The linear is pretty thick throughout good quality.

Thanks for the info.

I didn't see a rubber mat option for the 991 on there. I will look again.

Pretty sure there is not an option for them in the configurator. So you order them direct from weather tech on their web site or you can get the Porsche version from the parts dept at Suncoast Porsche.

Oh I know it's not available as part of the build from the factory... I just meant that I didn't see the 991 version on Suncoast's site. Thanks!
