Interesting. I would have thought the gearing ratios were different for the smaller engine. I'll have to check that out.

I just ran my 7-speed 991 through a canyon with the Sports plus mode activated. The best way I can describe it now, in Sports plus, the driver gets more of the classic Porsche feel. It feels a lot like a 997, and nothing can beat the feel of a 997's *** sliding around.

In sports mode, it feels like the evolution of the 997, stable, precise, with very little roll.

Hope this helps, I will do further experimentation.
