PCM time not being updated
A few weeks back, mine somehow got set one hour off the correct time. It can be corrected manually by going into Options (or similar )on the TFT Screen and finding the clock there.
I just got an email from PCNA with instructions on changing time. Never got anything like that from another manufacturer. Here is the contents of the email:

I'm glad it doesn't.
A few years ago they changed the standard for when daylight savings time is in effect. If they had programmed it to automatically change then the PCM would have needed a software update to change the schedule for the time change or else you wind up in a tug of war with the computer.
If the update didn't come then we would wind up having to change it 4 times a year. Twice on the right days and twice setting it back where it belongs when it changes it itself on the wrong days.
I know they don't make changes like this often, but it's my preference to be in control.
Also, aren't there some areas of the US that don't observe daylight savings time (like Arizona)?

So I was trying to get the system to display the correct time and it kept changing it back every time I would re-start the car. Then I see the thing about time zones. OK, why is it greyed out? The PCM has been on for a while, what gives? Oh, I have to leave my garage so the car can receive a signal to allow me to change from Eastern time to Central time. OK, so how did it change to Eastern time in the first place since it was accurate prior to needing to change it?? Who knows. And yes, does that mean if you travel thru different time zones you have to reset the zone each time? My $10 electronic clock does better than that!!
Back atcha-- actually my car is a cell phone, it is an entertainment center, it is a view to the clouds, it is a mobile storage device, and, yes, it is also driving wonder. I guess I just expect all this stuff that I pay for to work. Let's see now, multiple recall "campaigns", multiple visits because Germany is on holiday and no one else on the planet is authorized to give out the secret codes, a pcm that still glitches, and a clock that can't be set correctly unless it sees a satellite. Sheesh...but do I want to go back to "it's a car"...no a/c, no driver/passenger heater, no radio, no gps, no deviated stitching...not on your life!

I agree, these issues must be addressed for the amount of money we pay for it!
