Fall leaves and Cotton fields (pic heavy)
Fall leaves and Cotton fields (pic heavy)
I took the car out for a 25 mile spin around my backyard. In the hills around my home (at the tail end of the Cumberland Plateau) the autumn leaves are still very pretty and in the valleys the cotton fields are ready to be harvested. The drive was blissful. I'm still surprised at the versatility of the car in both gentle and spirited driving modes. Just outstanding! A few pics of the day.

Haku, Beautiful!! I know I can count on you for Amazing Pics. Something I continually look forward to. Keep them coming! What kind of camera do you use? Is Photograpy a hobby? Your photos are always Magazine quality. I have a nice Canon SLR, but haven't taken the time to learn how to use manual settings. Need to take a class.
Thank you all for your comments. I'm glad you enjoy the pics and don't find my pic posts too many with too much.
DH, thank you for the compliments and interest. I use an Olympus EP2 which is nothing professional but is compact enough for me to take anywhere and provides the manual modes I want. A Canon EOS 5D Mark II is on the way soon. Photography is just a hobby which I enjoy and is purely for fun. I guess I get the gene from my father who used to do it professionally. My brother is also into it professionally.

Terrific car. I really like the last shot. For the cotton field shots, a flash would have helped bring out the detail in the car a little more. Fill flash is good when you have brighter light and high contrast. 2 cents only. NOT a criticism.
That last photo is likely a screen background on several computers by now.

Dhill,Haku: I have nice pics of my 2013 black on black 911 Carerra S with aerokit cup that I want to post and share with all, however the site tells me my pics are "too big". How can I download/compress them to fit?? I have a Canon EOS 60 SLR camera. Please advise......

1. Open the original image with any photo/image editing software (iPhoto, Lightroom, photoshop, etc)
2. Resize the image to 800x600
3. Save/export the image for web resolution in jpg or png format
4. Then try to upload or attach them in your post on the forum
I hope it works. I'm looking forward to seeing your pics.
