Porsche Sport Exhaust Question
Hey guys,
I'm about to place an order for my new Porsche and one of the last options I'm trying to make a decision on is the Porsche Sport Exhaust.
I've test driven it and liked it, and I know some people are like "Hell yeah! You gotta get it!" after a quick test drive, but I'd love to hear from owners that got it or didn't get it.
Strangely enough, YouTube has almost no Porsche Sport Exhaust videos (just other after market options) so if you could film yours on/off it would be hugely appreciated.
I'm on a conservative budget and this is a relatively expensive option for me (CDN$3,200!) so I would really love some input on this.
I've never upgraded any of my car's exhausts before, but I have upgraded my Ducati's exhausts to Termigoni, so I do appreciate a good sounding exhaust if it's worth it.
My bikes:

I'll either go with the factory option or none at all, so putting on an aftermarket one for slightly less money isn't something that appeals to me (I'm and OEM kinda guy).
Thanks in advance!

What other options do you have ticked?
Maybe you can shed some light on your build, so we can comment on other options that aren't worthwhile getting, given your desire to stay within a budget.
IMHO, PSE is a nicer option to have than say the keyless entry...

For sure, I'm on a really, really tight budget. I've been saving up for this car for 2 years and I'm going to trade in my 2007 Cayman to help pay for it, so I can't go nuts with the options this is what I plan to do:
Base 991 (not S can't afford)
Black (not metalic just normal)
Manual
20" Wheels (relatively expensive, but I just think they're too gorgeous not to do)
PASM (I think it'll make a nice difference on Toronto streets)
Sport Seats Plus (Not the full leather, just the sport seats plus)
Sport Steering Wheel (Love the way it enhances the look fo the interior)
That's it. PSE is my only maybe option.
Thanks again for any input.

I didn't have chosen it when i bought my C2s... and i REGRET not to have it!!!
You have to, don't do like me...i thoght it was too loud, too vulgar...
No No No...It's...FANTASTIC!
Now, i can only fool around shearching some aftermarket substitute....
Anyway, GET IT. Skip Your summer vacation if necessary, but do GET IT.
That's all.

Alternatively, if the budget is really tight, you could look into a used 2012 (991) with all the options and save a pretty penny on the depreciation.
All the best..

I could actually grab this if I didn't get it.

Same price as the PSE option.
just FYI for some perspective: I've driven both a new 991S with PSE and without. They have improved the base exhaust, that is true. But the PSE is even more startling than the previous version in the 997. I'd go for it.
When my wife and I were in Germany it was the PSE on the rental 991S that got her attention. Her idea for me to order a 991S Cab on our return. Keeping the Turbo as her "TOY" (her idea). We had the car in Sport mode with the PSE on the whole trip. I'd say it's pretty close to a no brainer to get it.
