CPO warranty or Aftermarket warranty?

Hi

First I want to said I learn so much on the 991 on this forum. Thank you
I am about to pull the trigger on a low mileage 991s, for members with CPO and members with aftermarket warranty, which do you feel its better and worth the investment?

Thanks in advance

Porsche's CPO program is by far the best in the industry. I think you will find it much better than any aftermarket one that you can find.

Thanks, i got quoted $2500 for CPO and $200 for oil Change to CPO the car, is this normal? I thought CPO fee of $2500 should cover the oil change/to get the car spec to CPO right?

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find your low miles 991S, and what sort of pricing were you seeing? I'm in the bay area as well, and also in the market for a lightly used 991S pretty well optioned. Thanks!

If you have the option, I'd definitely go with CPO. The coverage should be the same (or better), and you won't have to deal with the extra hassle of a 3rd party.

Also, if you're buying the car, I'd think you could negotiate for the $200 oil change -- or even the CPO cost. See what's the best price you can get for the car including CPO.

Tks for the advice, since I got a pretty good deal on the car, they wouldn't flex on the CPO cost, which I am fine with, I guess but its the $200 additional for the oil change which doesn't make sense to me.

Dealers have to do certain things or meet certain criteria to CPO a car (eg brake wear, tires, etc). An oil change is probably required to get the CPO.

I just had my second $22,450.18 transmission installed in 13 months at no charge because of my CPO. No question it is a MUST. Will post a picture of receipt if there is doubt on cost. Mind you this is prior to labor too.
