Power Push Chart
I'm now waiting for my C2S Cabriolet with the Power Kit to complete the final leg of it's trip to me. It is on the Rigel Victor due in San Diego on 12/4. It will then be on a truck up here to Seattle, I hope to get it next week. I ordered it back in October and the wait has been killing me.
I get the sense this will be one of the first X51 equipped cars to reach NA. It will be hard to hold back during the break in period testing to see if it was worth it. I'll likely put snow tires on it (we don't get much snow here in the Seattle area, but the freezing cold pavement is hard on summer tires), they should keep my urges in check until the spring. :-)
Can anyone comment on the X51 cars from first hand experience yet?

Fellas, is it just me, or does anyone else think that the HP/torque curves for non X-51 3.8L are a little ragged?
I mean, it shouldn't take dropping $30K to clean those up from a tuning perspective.

Hehehehe thanks for making me feel like less of a ***** Chuck.
I'm sure my 6'4' 265 pnds will have an effect on that time (not counting the 3 strippers
)!
I almost went with a nicly build C2S cab + power kit instead of the more fully loaded C4S cab without the power kit (same $$)... but in the end I choose form over function.
The 991 is already so much faster than previous generations (beyond just it's 400HP peak) in such a nimble platform that you get up to "loose your license" speeds mighty fast... regardless whether it's a C2/S C4/S.
That said ya just can't help loving the C2S+power kit or GT3 and Turbo variants...
Yep variety is the spice of life!

Having a hard time waiting. Thankfully have my modified 996 Turbo tCab o drive when I need a P Car fix.

You're lucky with your timing. I ordered on October 1 a white/red/red Cab with Powerkit and a very long list ($60k+ cost in Canada in total for the options). My production completion date, at last count, is January 20! Then 6 to 8 weeks to get to Vancouver, BC. I'm told (but can't prove, mine is first X51 kit car ordered in Western Canada.

The build timeline for the X51 was different than my dealer expected. After it went through paint he thought it would be done in a few days (back in October), but instead it was then pulled from the normal production line for the Power Kit installation. That added another two weeks to the build that was unexpected. I wonder if that was a startup delay in production, or if they will all be done that way. Let me know if you hear yours gets the same treatment.
If all the shipping completes to plan I may have it here on the 12th for my birthday. I couldn't have planned that better if I tried.
I placed the order the first day the tool allowed had the X51 check box, a Platinum/Carrera Red/Black with a lot of other boxes checked. Once you get yours we should grab lunch, sounds like we have close to the same "unique" ride.

I'm hoping mine will be here before April 1 when our sales tax goes from 12% to 15% on cars over $50k! I'm thinking, but can't get real confirmation, that the delay is the Powerkit also. When I visited the factory in late September and also the engine shop there was absolutely no mention of the Powerkit coming down the line (so to speak).

I'm a little further south, down in Redmond, but I'm sure I'll be looking for a reason to go for a drive. I actually have only a 5 mile commute, and it is almost as fast for me to ride my bike to work as it is to drive, so it is important for me to find other excuses to get behind the wheel.
Best of luck to get yours before your taxes go up.
The car I'm replacing is an M3 Conv. I was going to sell it outright while I was waiting for this car to come in, but then some fool ran a red-light and took out my wife's ML350, so the M3 is her daily driver until the body shop finishes putting her car back together and we decide what to do with it. Barrier has a sweet Cayenne Turbo inbound on the same ship, we may have to go look at that next week as well. :-)
Hi Brianourhut,
Quite comparable builds. I drove a rental 991 Cab and then a rental 991S Coupe in Germany this year (about 1500 km on each). Preferred the S by far but really want a Cab for DD. Got the Cab up to 264k (164mph) with the top down and the Coupe to 295k (183 mph) on the Autobahn.
I am replacing a 2012 BMW 650 Cab. Not that I don't like the 650 (it's my 3rd 650 in 4 years) but it's not a Porsche, pure and simple. I've been driving Porsche's for over 40 years and much prefer them. We have a Jeep for winter. We are keeping the Turbo as a "TOY" for my wife.
Perhaps you could send me your contact info to the email address treasurer@pca-cwr.org and then I can give you my correct email so we can get in touch. I do come down the the Seattle area once in a while for PCA-PNWR events also.
