My Dark Blue C2S with Platinum Wheels!

First off, I don't know why I can't upload photos without making them attachments (sorry), so I just attached links to flickr (if you just click one you can go through them all.

I LOVE this car. Well worth the wait to custom order it rather than get one right off the lot. Absolutely amazing (but I'm sure you guys all already know that).

Options are:
Dark Blue Metallic
Black / Platinum Two Tone Interior
Platinum Carrera S Wheels
Sport Chrono
Premium Package Plus
Bose
Crests on Head Rests
Parking Sensors (front/back)
SD Steering Wheel

I hope you guys like the wheel / exterior color combo as much as I do. I just love it!

Here's a quick review on some options:

PDLS is amazing and very helpful (and just plain neat) when driving on windy dark roads. I really do recommend getting it.

Bose: Only time I've listened to it was setting my radio / XM favorites. I honestly never listen to music, but I didn't want to get such an expensive car without even having Bose in it. I do wish I opted out of getting the XM receiver (even saves some money!) so I don't have that ugly receiver on the back end..

Two Tone Interior: I think the black / platinum two tone interior is really nice, especially since it comes with deviated stitching on the dash. Also, the Rev counter on the S is the same color as the Platinum seats. It really ties the car together even further!

Center counsel in leather: Mine is not in leather, and now I kind of wish I got it. Never even thought about this option (I actually thought the 'center tunnel in leather' option was just extra leather in the back - test drive car had it and I thought it came standard). I would have also liked to add crests on the center counsel as well. Unless you have a cab, you can hardly even see the crests on the headrests, so I would not imagine it getting too messy.

Ambient lighting: A nice touch and pretty neat how you can adjust the brightness. Looks very classy if you're into that.

Parking Sensors: Reacts very slow, but in reality, no one is speeding while parking..

PSE: Another option I didn't get. For now I really enjoy the sound in sport mode, but will either retrofit PSE or go aftermarket.

PCM: I really like this unit and have no complaints. I also love how much information you can choose from and customize. I spent over 30 minutes customizing the PCM to different seat memories!

Easy Entry: I have a 370Z as well at my other house which has a push start (a nice red one from a GTR.. I was told it would add 5hp? hah), and I actually really like the fake key fob because of the turning of the wrist motion. Another neat feature, unlike my 370Z, when you approach the car it automatically unlocks without touching the little button on the door handle. Again, another recommended option.

Folding mirrors: I didn't get this option because I don't like the look of folded mirrors, but did not note that it had a nice little light to brighten up the outside of your car. With how cheap it is, I would have ordered this feature too if I had known. (Not that it is of any real use)

SD Steering Wheel: I think this is by far the best steering wheel choice, but wish they also offered it in cf trim. More features being displayed on the little screens would also be cool, or getting the center line of the wheel in the other color of the interior?

Honestly, anyone complaining about the 991 must be nit picking, because this is just a dream come true. I will be keeping this car most likely forever (or until it starts giving me maintenance issues, which I don't see happening). I'm really in love with Porsche, and will most likely never buy from another car brand again. I mean seriously, they have the best roadster, the best SUV, the best coupe in its price range, best sedan. I really am astonished by them. There really is no substitute..

I think that's it..

Enjoy!

That "ugly reciever" is also your GPS antenna, it would still be there without XM radio.

Very beautiful car! I was toying around with having the platinum wheels as my winter wheels set and I wish I had been able to see these pics earlier!

ArashApollo,
FYI the custom steering wheel below, which I got from Vivid Racing in AZ. You can build the wheel in almost any configuration and even though it looks like the SD wheel, it feels so much better. The ergonomics are fantastic. I could not be happier with how it turned out in terms of looks and feel!

ArashApollo Congrats on the purchase !! Love those wheels with the Dark Blue Metallic I would also get rid of those orange side markers and go with the Clear Euro ones. Enjoy and look forward to your posts about the 991.

DBYT That's a great looking steering wheel, approved

Darren, not sure if you are aware, but in the TFT display to the right of the Tach, you have the option of adding a 4th line item with the information of your choice. Looking at the photo you posted you have 3 line items of information.

Sorry to hijack your thread ArashAppllo

Thanks guys! I'm very glad it turned out so well. And even happier to be part of the club!
19hole, I didn't know that was for the GPS too. Glad you told me that before I tried removing it!
DBYT, that's an awesome steering wheel!
ECS Tuning, I actually have already put the euro markers on (check out the pics in the links!)
Dhill911, that's not hijacking my thread as it plays into another reason why I love the car so much, the customization! I have one memory preset that shows fuel economy, range and all that, and another that turns off the ambient lighting and shows max g's, max v, brings up the seat a bit and displays more sporty info.
I'm seriously obsessed with this car. I have not once walked away from it without looking back at it.
