Getting out of car experience

I have the Entry & Drive option and have all settings on the key ok. However, when exiting the vehicle the drivers seat does not automatically go back far enough to allow a comfortable swing of my legs out the door without very careful attention to scraping my feet.

When i check how much the seat could back there is 4-6 more inches of travel. I know there must be some safety concern if something/someone was in the back seat (very unlikely in 99% of cars though)

I'm not that big 5'10", taller guys/gals must have an awful time or.......something is wrong with my car.
thx

pfijcali is infamous around these parts
I also noticed the seat only goes back a couple inches or so when I turn the ignition off and open the door. My suggestion is to program an exit setup for the seat and steering wheel on seat memory button 2, so you can take the seal all the way back before you open the door to get out of the car.

I guess you would call this a "workaround", not a real solution to the problem.

I am 6'5" and each time getting in and out of the 991 is a real challenge....i make various sounds, like a real old person.....two days ago I took my wife's A8L to wash and, God, that was comfortable....eh eh

I'm so sorry I missed my chance to chip in on the PDK is for Sissies Thread. I agree with Darren, it would have been fun!

Try hopping out the same way you did with your GTO.

back in 65 i was flexible............today knees/sciatica not as limber.
I think I will try setting button 1 with seat all the way back and the steering wheel all the way up. Hopefully this will not screw up the entry and drive function when i reenter the vehicle??

I understand the concern with safety if a child or animal were in the back for the auto settings on entry and drive function.....just thought some techie might know how to override the distance or position for exit function on the 991.

sorry i couldnt respond to your PM, i have not reached the 15 posting limit set by the moderator

I agree and wish it went back a little farther. I was doing the #1 seat memory thing with the seat way back but find the comfort access works ok if I crunch up my leg on the way out. The comfort access setting on my wife's older SL went back too far. She couldn't reach the brake pedal to push it in to start the car because it was too far back.

setting the #1 button to seat full back and steering wheel up all the way doesnt work with the entry and drive i found...... when you turn off ignition and open door to exit just returns to original exit position set by porsche.

you select button 1 with ignition on, turn it off, open door and it goes to the memory for button 3. what a mess, ill use your solution, big tuck and roll
