Golf Clubs in 991 (w/ photos)

Picked up a 991 over the weekend,

As an avid golfer, first thing I did was see how my clubs would fit. I knew they would fit base on other threads but haven't seen good photos.

First option is the passenger seat.

It's the easiest option. My only concern is if the weight of the bag will leave permanent indentations in the seat cushion. All of the bag's weight is resting on the front end of the seat cushion. I rode to the course (about 20 mins) and it didn't seem to leave any indentations but for longer trips or heavier bags I might be concern. Anybody have any experience with this?

The 2nd option is to put it in the back. I know people say you can just take out the driver and woods and put the bag in the back (w/ seats folded) but I don't really see how this is possible. You could try to angle it in but my fear would be it sliding all over the place.

So I went to the extreme and took out all my clubs.

The clubs fit easily and the bag can be placed completely flat. Obviously takes a little more time to remove all the clubs, but I'm too **** to try to squeeze a bag in the back and accidentally damaging something (especially w/ bags that have the iron brushes).

Option 1 would be preferred but I'm still a little worried about the indentations....

have no fear - I am transporting my bag in the front seat and no problems, I only put a blanket between the bag and the seat not to damage the seat

I carry my 10" staff bag in the back with the sets folded. No need to take the driver out of the bag. I can even get a second carry bag in on top of it.

I keep diver out in the back seats with them folded. No big deal. Never tried a second set.

I was able to get all of this stuff in my 997 along with my wife for the drive from FL to MA. Have not tried to get all of this in the 991 yet, but we have taken a number of long weekend trips with both sets of clubs in the 991.

Good job!! Can't wait to see what you can get in the 991.

For our trip to "Escape to the Ozarks" in the 991 the two of us carried 2 airline carry-on bags, a car cover, a computer bag, a set of irons (present for son who lives near there), two small coolers and a couple of extra jackets and still had a little room.

Carry my stand bag in the front seat all the time. No indentions at all. I don't even try to put them in the back but they will fit. Is that an Olympic Club head cover I see? We live in Tahoe in the summer and I venture down to play NCGA events all summer. Great looking car.

My Targa was the best for golf clubs.. will have to see how the upcoming one in 991 form does. I would probably do something with the front seat as I would be freaked about the clubs flying all over the place in the back - especially with full leather. In the Targa I didn't have full leather but there were some minor scratches here and there.

With my 996 TT Cab I put the bag (albeit not a tour bag, that only fits in the BMW 650 trunk) behind the seats. I do have to take driver and 1 or two other woods out and put cross ways behind the seats. I'm expecting same thing with the 991 but not sure.

Did your wife run next to the car the whole trip? Hard to believe that fit.
