Ducktail spoiler

caught in a bind on sport design package with ducktail rear spoiler and front spoiler..........didnt order because driveway to steep and front will drag + package is only sold as front and rear spoilers.

do you think the aftermarket will ever make a ducktail spoiler similiar to OEM that is a replacement for the 75 mph spoiler and have something that prevents it from lifting over 75 and also can used with cab? tall order probably.....

Don't know. Should have ordered it and got a new driveway instead. Damn it looks good.

Funny should mention that, I actually got a quote for fixing my driveway to get a GT3 into it Will probably pull the trigger this summer up the "upgrade" and add the car

I think there is a "lift" option for the GT3 that raises the front up just for that purpose.

Detroit Shooter is infamous around these parts
I believe the dealer can disable the lifting wing with their diagnostic tool.

There is a reason Porsche won't deliver the rear ducktail without the front Sport Design spoiler. If you push the back end down the front will come up a little at very high speeds and introduce some stability problems. They had the same issue way back with the original ducktail and same requirement. No ducktail without getting additional front downforce also.

Does anyone find it interesting that you can get the front SD spoiler without getting the duck tail?

Makes perfect sense. If you push the front down the chance of the rear going up enough to come off the ground or go very light quite slim. Otherway (Rear down and front up) has caused many back flips at racing speeds which of course includes high speed runs down the Autobahn. I drove a 991S coupe on the Autobahn at 295kph (183 mph) in September and it definitely was getting scary.

if your interested in taking the front spoiler, i'll take the ducktail.......of course i will have to keep it under 165 mph on I5 to prevent lift off and possible emergency landing up in Canada.

If the front lifts and you're northbound on I5 you have a better chance of landing in Oregon than British Columbia. It's a back flip!

A lift kit for the front end a-la Lamborghini would solve the problem. There are several aftermarket companies that produce very nice units that are compact.

I actually ordered only the front SD spoiler. Really don't think the ducktail looks quite right. I'll either leave it as it is or get an aftermarket rear spoiler.
