Not a big fan of the stock Turbo S exhaust, sorry DocMalone. Also don't like the electric parking break. Anyways, the only way to correct the exhaust note was to go aftermarket........love the exhaust sound now.......the way it should be from the factory.

I don't mid this at all and I have almost no options. Driving on gravel sounds too tinny? Are you kidding me? Then one **** would be bigger than the other. That would look bad. I've never had any issues locating or using the volume ****. Anyway, we're all entitled to our opinions and theses are my opinions about your opinions. Like another poster said, I'd sure hate you to rate my business on Yelp (Soap in bathroom not soapy enough, chairs a little low relative to table height, lighting a bit dark, room a bit warm.)
Good cut/paste abilities.

The question was regarding owners impressions, not impressions on owners impressions.

Anyway as I said, I generally don't have these things to say about a GTI, or a Miata, let alone a $150,000 car that releases high profits, I will be a tough critic inline with expectation. My opinion and response to a question.

Also Termi's are aftermarket pipes, help yourself to a set for your car so you can make an entrance. One can feel 5hp on a bike and can also argue it may be safer (I'm on my fifth Ducati), on a Porsche?
I don't know you but on the surface I do and it makes me chuckle. Maybe I'll see you on the track sometime.

$450 for an oil change at my dealership. They claim it has to sit on the lift for 2 hours to completely drain and the customer has to pay the hourly rate for the entire process. Seems a bit unfair to me.

What do we expect oil changes to cost on a $100 k+ car to cost? The same as a jeep wrangler? What does an F or L car cost to change oil?

Depending on dealer the range seems to be $275 -$375 with some dealers gouging a little higher. This thread makes me tired. Looks like a lot forum members will be trading in based on the number of gripes here.

Try it yourself dude ;-) It takes at least an hour, without setup, etc. 'Claim' ? I do it myself and don't complain since I can inspect other things or just look at the car; never get tired of that

Agreed! My kids $20,000 Toyota costs $20.00. This car is 10X the cost so $200 would be expected but $450...GEZZZ

I won't do it myself, I am a capitve audience and guess I will endure the pain of 2 oil changes a year.

I miss Audicare thatwas given to me with the R8 and included everything for 4 years.

The Shelby GT500 uses as much synthetic oil and the Ford Dealer charges $125.

I don't miss the R8 V10 tho. Love this TTS big time.

That's B.S. You think the tech stood around and watched for two hours? No, he was working on other jobs. That's like lawyer-level double billing crap going on.

BTW, a 991 oil and filter change is *easy*. Took me 30 minutes.

I tend to agree with you. No need to focus on the negatives as there are really very few.. I think folks confuse preferences for flaws.. Go buy a random GM or Ford Box and you find about design flaws.

As far as oil changes, I detach that issue from the car.. that's just an issue with who and how you service them. As with anything you can let yourself be gouged by any of trades (plumbers, mechanics, interior designers etc) or you can do things smarter. Lack of knowledge or initiative will always get you gouged.

Funny thing was this morning when I got in to drive to work I threw it in Sport mode instead of the usual leaving it in normal. It is the equivalent turning a meek librarian into a stripper.

I forget just how much fun it is to drive this thing sometimes.. I need to remind myself.

And you know what, who cares about funky cup holders...

If we aren't driving and enjoying these car instead of complaining about them it is our loss. It is still the very best high performance car you can drive every day and still have a smile on your face.

JerseyShore : If we aren't driving and enjoying these car instead of complaining about them it is our loss. It is still the very best high performance car you can drive every day and still have a smile on your face.

Complains: maybe there's an alternative site for that. I fully agree with the above. You have an engine that can rev so fast and provide that torque punch at the 2 to 3rd gears shifts, and you want to run to Jiffy Lube ? LOL

The Porsche service bay is still occupied while each 911 gets completely drained. The 'nonsense' about gouging : No one forced me to buy an instrument rather than a pickup. I saw a post that 30 mins was allowed to drain the oil. Maybe when it's real hot it flows faster. I watched mine still drip (on a level surface) for nearly 50 mins but the oil was just warm to the touch. Even then it was short about 1/3 of a quart (compared to the spec.).

I can understand complaining about the cost of dealer service but about the 991 not so much. We are fortunate enough to be driving a $100,000 plus iconic sports car that most people would give their eye tooth to own. So complaining about minor irritations seems ridiculous to me. So stop whining and start driving.
