this is probably software /sensor issue for you
I had an irrelevant question though..

this is the second time I hear from people outside the US using metric system
referring to the so called 1500 khm service ~=1000 miles..
In the US, we are referring to the 2000 miles =~ 3200 Khm service to dump
the break-in oil and change it...
Is this what you guys do at 1500khm?

I am very confused, but I know for example, other high end engines such as
BMW M3 will void the warranty if you don't show up on their free 1200 miles mandatory break-in oil change..

Hmmm... we have nothing of that sort here in Malaysia. First official oil change is at 10,000km!

It is similar everywhere, our local dealer only offers extra privilege, on 1500 KM you bring your car in just for “Checkup”, nothing will be changed, they only check all the fluids and tire pressure and do an overall inspection to make sure everything is perfect, 3000 KM is the break in period in our region manual, and you don’t have to do any service or oil change at that point, all you need to do is to press the sport plus and drive it like you stole it

this reply is just for future records or if anyone is facing the same issue, apparently it was just a loose sensor, almost two months since i got the car back from the dealer and no warnings at all.

Thanks aljaberh. I will also report back here once I know what the problem is on my unit (hopefully). It's been intermittent for me, and rare, but I sent the car in yesterday to have it checked along with a number of different things so I'll know in a few days when everything is done. I just hope it won't be a case of "oh we couldn't find anything wrong with it"!

for me this is the worst scenario, i hate it more than having problems with my car, hopefully it's something minor like the one i had. Easy fix. apparently its very common on the new 991, how come Porsche is not doing anything in this regards!

Got my car back today. They said the PSM Failure and Auto Start/Stop Deactivated warnings were a 'software problem', that they've updated the software and all is well. 3 hours later the same two warnings reappeared. Looks like I'll be without my baby again soon.
