Porsche 911 Carrera S vs. 4S Twin Drift Snow Hockenheim

There's no commentary, just drifting both the C2S and C4S. Enjoy!...I did.
Maybe this one's just for Sid!

I wish there would be more videos like this and with the view of the pedal work.

If you want to learn about your limitations, the dynamics of your car and how it operates, this is probably the best way: no exaggerated movements, and a soft touch with feel is required. Oh and ample run off is helpful. Thanks for posting.

Agree.

I noticed that one of the cars is a manual. The exhaust tone is also quite different between the two. I wonder if thats to do more with driving style, PDK (if the other car has it) vs manual.

Porsche published spec states that they are both identical in in 0-60 (3.9 in sport plus with pdk) and the 2S marginally quicker top speed (187mph vs 184mph).

I would expect the 2S to be quicker in the dry and the 4S quicker in the wet. It's all too close to call and is more about what experience the driver wants.

Nice segue for a question:

Are the strobing front led's an aftermarket thing, or a factory setting? I've seen a few videos with strobing tailights, but always thought that that was a hard braking notification...

I think to the naked eye LED lights appear to be constant but in reality they strobe rapidly. The camera picks it up as such and therefore the strobing effect on video etc. that's my non-technical explanation.

The C2S is only quicker on dry with the pdk. The manual 4S is quicker than the manual 2S in all tests. The 4S is superior in performance, but the 2S is more fun.
