GT3 wearing Dunlop Sport Maxx tires
SubscribeDid anyone else notice that? I don't see tirerack listing 20" sizes yet, but I'm sure they're coming. The only problem is that it will be $600+ per tire judging by pricing in 19".
Still, at least there will be some competition for the corsas in C2S sizes, which is good.

Didn't notice. Man, it's been 18 years since I used anything from Dunlop. Forgot they existed. Thanks.
I had Dunlop Dirreza Star Specs Z1s on my old car. Fantastic tires, but heavy. A good 6 lbs heavier per tire than the PS2.
Dunlop is owned by Goodyear. Given the use of the Goodyear tire on the base 991, it makes sense that they are continuing with two OEM tire manufacturers.

Disappointing that we do not see more Michelins
PSS's are by far better than the OEM Pzero's I have on my 991S (but are not available in 305 for now, only 295). I would be surprised if the new Dunlops were better than Pilot Sport Cups too.

Have you known anyone to use these? Notice their wear rating is only 60 which would infer they are very sticky.Originally Posted by SM_ATL

Well none of us have tried them, so I think we should wait and see how they perform. They are a upgrade on the CLK63 Black, and apparently the lap times dropped significantly with these tires.
Im curious to know if Porsche's decision to use these was somewhat based on the 20" application.

Should be interesting because Dunlop tires have sucked since the late 1990s when Goodyear entered the picture if I remember correctly. Wonder what could have changed the situation. I need some Pilots on my ride soon. These P-Zeros are not optimal, particular in wet and "cold."
