I agree with that. My old RWD BMW 3series with snow tires was awesome in the snow and ice. My 94 Camaro (also RWD) was a complete nightmare. It is down to balance and appropriate traction control.

You drove very good on such a slippery/varied surface. I wonder how you might have done in a 4wd Porsche.

Cheers,
Bummer about the M. I had some issue but most were self-inflicted.

Do you remember Tom from outside Chicago? He sold the GTR for a GT3 then to an Audi R8. Traded in the X5M for a new M5. Says it is awesome.

If I recall you had an escort or LI in the M. Did you take it out and put it in the Porsche? Have you posed pics?

Loved the M - been waiting for it for so long and then both turbos said goodbye at 20,000 kms and then I said goodbye to BMW. Couldn't believe the quality issues I had with the leather/seams/color fade..........noooooooo!

I do remember Tom. I have been eyeing the M5 - damn its pretty. With an akrapovic exhaust/white/manual tranny.........

Have a Valentine in both, but they aren't hardwired yet, still need to do this.

Congrats on your purchase - looks like you are really enjoying her. I have posted a few pics on line already.

Cheers,
