Ordered my first Porsche
Ordered my first Porsche
Well, I finally did it and I can't believe it's nearing delivery time. I, like many, have wanted a Porsche for some time. Back in December (at the ripe at of 36, lol), I bit the bullet and placed an order for my first 911. A 2013 C2.
This will be my first true sports car. Heck, my first two door car for that matter. Seeing how this will be my primary car, rather than opt for an C2S, I went more for a heavily equipped C2. I still wanted many of the creature comforts, heated steering wheel, full leather etc... I thought this would be the best for me overall. I am doing a 2-year lease, so whatever I find out I really wanted and didn't get or don't want, I will be able to fix with a new order in less than 2 years.
I have been lurking on this board for the past few months, trying to pass the time. In that time, I have leaned a lot and continue to do so. I have really appreciated everyone's postings, as all have some insight to share and offer. In January, I went to the Porsche Sport Driving School, with was a BLAST! Such a tease though!
My car completed production on 02/21. It's on Gaia Leader and scheduled into Brunswick on 03/20. Needless to say, I'm counting the days!

Thanks! Me too! I am hoping it clears pretty quick. My fingers are definitely crossed. Fortunately, being in ATL, it's just a 4 hour drive for the car to get here. We shall see!
I got dark blue metallic with the tan/black leather interior.

Looking forward to see the color combo w/glass sunroof.

Welcome to the Porsche family, if you haven't already, you need to join Peachstate PCA. It is a great group of folks who all have a passion for Porsches. It is a very active group with a wide range of activities for trackers and non-trackers alike. This last weekend there was a club AutoCross at ATL Motor Speedway, this weekend they are sponsoring club racing at Road ATL and in early April there will be a club rally - tour from ATL to Chattanooga on the 6th.
WOW! I am impressed thus far with the arrival and processing at Brunswick. Ship arrived at port on Tuesday the 20th. PDI'd the same day and released to carrier with the sticker printed the next. Hopefully, it wont now get stuck waiting for transport for it's short 4-hour trip to the dealer... I can't believe that next week is the week. I have a family vacation to go on from Friday to Tuesday, ugh!

I might opt for driving to Orlando vs flying....
