TriState Area Meetup (NY/NJ/CT)
There were 13 991 and 2 997 that showed up. Great finally meeting everyone! Most of the guys must still be on the drive. The meet up point was perfect for a large group of cars.
Thanks to Brian and Alessandro for organising.

Thanks everybody! It was good to meet everybody!
Thanks Brian for organizing. Thanks Darren for the long drive to come and meet and Ian for guiding me around the web of roads.
I just witnessed how deep the limits of the 991 are and now I want more.
Thank you all again!
Ale

Great to meet you all. Very pleasant day's driving, though we were fortunate not to run into the local constabulary during some of the more spirited sections. Thanks for organizing this Ale & Brian. Hope to do it again soon.

enjoyed it today - meeting everyone and the drive. Next time will avoid cross bronx on the way there. Thanks Brian for the site selection and road map and Al for getting this started! We gotta figure out a way to get the directions automatically into our car's NAV - like BMWs have from google maps via BMW assist. P-cars are still somewhat not up to snuff on in-car tech.
For those wanting to know - tried out AHA on my iphone5- you get content delivered thru the USB port and AHA app. Can listen to radio stations from Cali (so what). Seems like sirius/xm is the better choice and you don't use up your data plan.

It was great to meet everyone today! I'm really glad that we had such an awesome turnout.
Thanks to everyone for joining and a big thanks to Ale for getting the ball rolling on this!
Though the morning was kind of gray, I'll likely see what comes of the few photos I took tomorrow and will post them up in here.
Lets do it again soon (but maybe start a touch earlier next time to have a little less traffic).

All of you obviously had a terrific time. Well done for making it happen!
I wish our TN chums would do something like this....I'm envious!
I'll just have to share in your fun by looking at your pics.

Guys,
That WAS A LOT OF FUN yesterday. When you are in a Porsche, you think it drives itself. Slaloming along the edge of a cliff (overlooking the beautiful Hudson) was not even a concern. Keeping up with the pack keeps the adrenalin pumping and intensifies the concentration. The other cool thing is that other drivers respected out procession like we were heading to a funeral. My car did get bruised with a few rock chips but hey that's life even some bra protection up-front.
I enjoyed meeting you guys. Thanks to Brian and Ale for setting up. And also I appreciate meeting up with Ian too from LI. Having a mini-caravan is kind of cool. The only thing we need to retrofit in our cars are some old Radio Shack CB's to keep in better contact.
I can't wait for the next one.

Haku, it is up to us to make it happen in the Southeast. We already know of a few guys who would be in! Let's start a thread for a meet in the Smoky mountains.
