Great shots! Thanks. And once again thanks the ale for starting the thread and you for the great dive itinerary. That is more 991s than I have ever seen in one place and every one was as individual as the people driving them.

Huge thanks to Brian and Ale for organizing. We had a great time. My girlfriend was skeptical at first what the meet up would be like but after she said she loved it and can't wait for the next time...great cars, great people, great drive...
I also see what great lenses can do...awesome pics guys! Next time I'll use a better camera than the iPhone and post some.

 

Thanks to all for setting this up and those who attended. Great to see so many P car enthusiasts early Sat AM to come and hang. Apologies I could not stay for lunch.

You guys should have heard the conversation with my sleeping wife as I was leaving the house @ 7AM to get gas and a car wash. Something like:

"Bye babe, going to meet some guys up the Pallisades"

"who are these people?"

"Some guys I know from the internet"

"Is it safe?"

"yeah, it's safe. We are all P car owners and share the love of cars and the brand"

"okay. What time will you be home? Call me so I know you are okay" lol.

30 minutes into the meet, I get a text: "Are you okay" too funny....

So to all my internet friends, see you next time......

PS - my wife stayed out with her friends until 4AM on Saturday..... I didn't call once and was sleeping like a baby dreaming of my P car carving the roads!!

My wife had the same questions. I guess they think alike? The local police sometimes monitor these forums. Having the police stop by to say hi Saturday was a good thing.

The cops that patrol the Palisades Parkway have a reputation of being tough and nasty. Glad to hear that things went so positively.

 

Just got a BS ticket today on the palisades. Cop heard the exhaust and wrote me a ticket for careless driving cause I did a burnout and took an aggressive turn while going from GW to palisades. How's that possible! Already hired lawyer. Not letting this one go.

 

Yikes! Sorry to hear. Cop pulled you over? I think that cops just LOVE to pull over expensive cars.

 

Traffic cops are nothing more than "glorified meter maids." And, yes, they will single out the guy in the high-end ride. Who the he$$ do these Porsche fat cats think they are anyway!

It seems as if the terrorism thing may be heating up once again; perhaps the powers that be will find a way to put these traffic-turkeys to better use. You know, like trying to spot the truck carrying the explosives before it reaches the planned destination ...

 

Yup. He was off to the right giving someone else a ticket. I saw him ahead and to the right in the turnoff area as I exited the GWB to the palisades. He must have heard the PSE and chased me down at exit one. I started laughing and asked if he had the right car and gave me a ticket for careless driving. 2 points. Then he said if I don't stop talking he's giving me a ticket for loud exhaust. Told him its factory and he said "doesn't matter it's still too loud". I said "see you in court".
