Black ceramic Fabspeed tips arrived

I don't have the correct torque wrench or whatever tool is needed to get the bolt off the oem exhaust tips - I have the adapter that fits the head but not the force to get it to turn..hehe. Gotta hit the store tonight and find the right wrench.

(the electric screwdriver is not able to remove exhaust tip screw, hehe sigh)

Don't use a torque wrench to take things off. You'll stress the calibration.

Use a regular socket wrench or spanner.

ahh thank you for the tip, Prime - just returned the wrong tool I bought last night. I actually have an appointment at the dealer for a general checkup next Wednesday, might just wait until then and have them mount the tips. But I'll go to the best hardware store in town today and try to find the correct item again hehe. Sixty, I might be on a trip this April and miss the drive, but will be thinking of you guys if I miss it and hope it goes great!

Thumbs up

All set!! - Just had to get the proper socket set w/turner and a separate combination socket wrench in the same gauge as the bolts. Amazing how things can turn around with the proper tools.

(The shiny broken bolt is Fabspeed's and I need to email them to ask for a replacement. I currently have both Porsche and Fabspeed tip bolts on the car

(funny how we need $25 in tools for a 15 cent bolt)

hehe, so true about the tools. Thanks a lot guys, fun to do and I think I've even impressed the wife with multiple trips to the hardware store this morning.
