3.4 Engine Disappointing Performance

This is to rag on us plebians with 3.4L's
I am always so concerned a real porsche like a cayenne is going to meet me at the stop light and embarrass me. Then my girl will leave me and I will lose my job and have to crawl into a dark hole. So much so that I rarely drive this thing, usually in the middle of the night so as not to be seen.

* Well, actually it's because I can't fit a car this huge into the garage, but you all knew that already.
I am waiting on the 911 "Americana" edition. Instead of a lite high reving 6, it is going to have the Cayenne V8 with lots of torque and drag racing abilities. Granted it probably will not handle very well but it should lift the front wheels coming off the line.
I have to admit, I wasn't throilled with my 997.1 S at first and then I took it on the track for a DE. It really impressed me that the car is essentially a street legal, reliable race car. I drove a 550 Maranello and almost sold the 997.1 S for it. It had a lot of "beef" with that 12 cylinder engine. I woke up when I started contemplating reliability and service costs on the Maranello relative to the 997.1 S.
I fixed my whining on the 997.1 S by redoing my exhaust and plenum as listed in my signature. I found the "beef".
These are truly remarkable cars for track and daily drivers and extremely reliable.

Based on this, you'll keep your girl and your job...
But just in case, the Cayenne comes with a special front seat option...
The fact that we are even discussing the close nature of a two ton SUV with a 911 is what's more concerning.

SUV, with people in front and back, and a trunk full of luggage, giving a brand new 911 a run... Who knew?
Cayenne Turbo owners, that's who.
It started from a joke. The Cayenne is hands down the best SUV on the market, but guys, if you have driven both cars, there is no such thing as a 'close nature' between the two, whatever the engine you put in the Cayenne !!!
Cayenne? Carrera? Which to chose? Carrera ALL the time.
