I had the 14 ways sport seats on my first 991 and found myself fighting lateral g's. I now have 18 ways heated/ventilated Sport seats plus, but the feature I like the most are the extended side bolsters. This is for the street and occasional tracking (for track days, I swap seat and install GT2 bucket seats).
In brief, the non adjustable Sport Seats Plus may be the best bang for the buck.
It is clear that I have the opposite view to SM_ATL :-)
There is no way I would take the 18-way or the sport seats "plus" as their bolsters are pure horror for me. For a spirited drive (on the road, not on track) I just brace myself with my left foot and I'm one with the car. What the power seats offer over the non-power is adaptable lumbar support, won't have it any other way !

Again YMMV. So my advise to the OP. Testdrive the seats and choose based on that !

That's plain common sense, no disagreement !

PS: I also braced myself with my left foot initially and came back (from the track...) with a bruised knee Never happened on the street of course.

Ok this may be a bit last second but here's my opinion:

1. The SD steering wheel seems to be the "sexy" option and I agree that paddle shifters are the norm for pretty much any car manufacturer. However, I chose the MF wheel because the vast majority of time, I'll be driving on the street, where the MF wheel is more practical. Honestly, in terms of shifting, I think you could get used to either one. You'll probably want to test both out to see which you prefer. Oh and only the MF wheel can be heated, if that matters to you.

2. I have the carrera red natural leather so it's full leather and obviously very nice. Havent really compared it to the partial leather so cant really say. This is again a very personal choice that you should compare yourself.

3. I don't think you'll miss the power steering plus. I know I don't. It's supposed to kick in only at very low speeds, so supposedly you shouldn't feel any sudden change in steering feel while actually driving, but I just didn't want to take a chance.

4 and 5. PDCC is a very pricey option and it's of questionable value if you don't plan on tracking the car. However, I do have it on mine and have already noticed the amazing lack of roll on just public roads (haven't taken it to the track yet). I have the regular PASM and still have to be very careful about scraping. I think the regular PASM + PDCC is probably the best combination of comfort and performance. The SPASM does look nice though and is a relatively cheap option. Since you're on a budget, I'd probably just get the SPASM; I don't think the PDCC is going to add much to the SPASM if you're just driving it on the street.

Regarding the 18-way seats, they are great but I can see how someone with wider proportions might find them to be a little tight. Again, try before you buy!

1) Sport Design Steering it is. For those of you who have it, how do you change the configurable Guage in front of you. I know with the muli, you can use the steering wheel..wheel to change it to whatever you want.
2) No power steering.
3) Sounds like no PDCC unless you track. How much weight does it really add?
3) I'll order the SPASM. Although, you guys think I'll be scraping it a lot?
4) The hardest decision is the seating, but it sounds like folks like the Adaptive seating. Still not sure about leather. The choices of seating is confusing and so is the pricing if you go the the configurator.

As far as the cost, ya wanted to keep it 125k...with tax :-)

1. The SD steering comes with a stalk (beneath the wiper stalk) that does everything except control the volume.
2. Power steering plus is an unnecessary option.
3. You really won't scrape with SPASM - you'll simply get used to being mindful of slowing down when exiting gas stations etc with deep dips.
4. Seats are extremely important. Go to any dealership and sit in the different seats. Depending on your shoulders, girth etc, you'll find what best works for you aside from aesthetics.

Being in So Cal I would go with ventilated seats. The AC isn't phenomenal on hot days and SBS (Sweaty Back Syndrome) can be a common occurrence.
