991 Clear Bra?

Im getting my first 991 in a week. This is my first porsche and I was wondering if i should get a clear bra film installed on my car (Front hood, and bumper). I have never put a clear bra on any cars I have owned. Anyone know if i should get it done through my porsche dealer. I was wondering if after the clear bra is installed can you still clean the car and wax it?

I had my whole front, whole back bumper, and top after a very acidic bird incident. So far the protection has been great.

What area do you live in?

Highly recommended. There are products just for clear bra protection (oxymoron ) and I actually use them.. I got whole front portion, lights, wheels arches, behind wheels and some part of rear bumper laminated thru premier in the Bay Area. The dealers usually do half a** job so go for a custom installer-they're usually costly but worth every penny!

Yes, but find a reputable installer. Don't let your dealer do it.

Agree with all. You should definitely get it and not have it done by dealer. Do some research and have it done by shops that specialize in installing. It really is great protection for your car.

+1 on the pick your own installer - not dealer. Do a search or ask local PCA people for referrals. Once you pick someone get references. There is a lot of craft to a good install and they have to do all kinds of things to do a good job - like taking out your headlamps.

I agree on the clear bra but I would let the dealer help you find a good installer.
You are going to have one experience they do this every day. I don't think the dealer would actually install it they would sub it out. If they used a bad installer it would be hassle so I am sure most have found a good one they feed work to. My dealer handled the tint and clear bra, both were done well.

Full hood. Half perhaps ok on other cars (I had it on my BMW and now also on Lexus) but definitely not 911. It looks ugly. Full is a must!

Do they actually make material that will cover 100% of the hood?
