Advice pls: 3M venture shield or Xpel on white 991? Pro/Cons for both pls.

Hi All,
I did it! I put in my order today on a 991 C2S PDK, in white with sports design, glass roof, clear tail lights etc etc. Delivery in Aug/Sept. My question is whether to wrap with 3M venture shield or Xpel? And if so, which parts are a MUST to have wrapped? I had my grey 997.2's front bumper, whole bonnet and 1/2 of the front sides done with 3M but when I covered the rockers but I noticed after a few power washes water/soap was starting to seep in (white residue under the film on the rockers). Also the co that did it said it was CAD cut. Is it possible to have it wrapped entirely around the panels or is the film too thick?

Thanks for any advice you might be able to give.

Rob

You definitely should wrap it. I did full bumper and full hood. I did not do fenders and I think you should either do full or not do it at all. If you do half, you will have a line down the middle, and it will just look awful IMHO. The car comes with a clear covering on the rocker panel (mine did anyway) but I changed it to black to avoid the dirt lines on the white car. Congrats and good luck. I see fun in your future.

If you are asking if you can see seams, the answer is no. I believe my install has customer cut pieces. You should not see any lines as the wrap covers the entire hood and bumper and the seams are under the hood and not on top of it. Hope this helps.

From what I have been told, if your car is a real white white, you should use the Expel product. It does not yellow like the 3M Ventureshield product. Just my .02
