A Tesla! Awesome car from everything I've heard and read. What prompted the purchase? The whole technology factor or just to offset the gas usage of the Carrera?
I'm trying to talk my wife into getting one. She's very pro-hybrid/electric currently on her 2nd Lexus hybrid. Keep us informed about your new stable partner.

I love the look of that car every time I see it... does it really sit that damn low in normal mode?
The only thing, and this is a deal breaker for me, is that you have zero sound as you blast a 4 second zero to 60 time. I need engine symphony, its an integral part of performance.

Awesome. My neighbor at the lake just picked one up and he loves it. Raves about how much torque it has, hopefully I'll get a ride this next weekend. Enjoy you have a great looking stable.
Congratulations, 20-C4-10 I love the innovativeness and performance of that car also!
Did you see the video where they change the battery pack in 90 seconds? In fact they beat the Audi refueling time by more than double. I'm not sure if that is an option, or a research concept, but it's neat!

so heres the downside:
Torque Steer - Considering the car's torque equates to mclarens at 5500 rpms the car suffers from having significant torque steer (im assuming Elon overlooked sourcing the proper axels he probably went with mcpherson axles fml not sure why he did so) but this makes alignment very very very important.
Skinny Tires - The car is second to none once you get used to the regenerative breaking.
Soft Leather - The car's leather is so soft you will see imperfections within two months of ownership if you wear any pants where buttons protrude.
Charging Costs - You won't save any money here electricity costs to charge this beast are equal to if not more than current gas costs (im sure the govt does this on purpose)
Overall, the car is second to none once you get used to the regenerative breaking.
