I was logged in on my laptop last night when the fake "posts" kept popping up. That seems to have ben fixed. Any other advertising on the page where it belongs - across the top and down the sides - is fine by me. They help pay to keep the site up and running. I just object to fake posts which only happened last night due to a glitch that was subsequently fixed.
Now I wish this thread would simply be locked or die of natural causes because it's run its course.

I agree with you that all the banner ads serve a vital purpose. Pop up ads are just plain wrong though. Sorry for the thread jack. As stated previously, I was just curious about the pop ups. I'm 50% certain this is my last post in this thread...
