20" wheels and PASM - what is your ground clearance?

Those with 20" wheels and PASM - what is your actual ground clearance?

I have the 19" wheels and standard suspension, and I feel the car is a bit too high, with some extra wheel gap.

PASM drops the car by 10MM. BUT, the 19" wheels also have a 5MM smaller radius. So, if I get the KW adjustable springs and drop the car by 15MM (seems to be minimum adjustment), I should technically have the same ground clearance as SPASM (20MM) which might be too low.

I measured the ground clearance height behind the front wheel, and got 5 1/2". What do others measure at this point?

I have SPASM -20mm and 20" and it's actually still really good. I've taken tons of high speed bumps, and never touched. Only issue is getting into very steep garages, as the front lip sometimes touches a little, but its on the under side, so you don't see any scratches. Really, it's not bad at all the ground clearance.

I hope you realize that "anyone" would need two cars- on with and one without SPASM. Each has a constant height.

Okay... My 991 (which has Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) measures precisely 6" from the bottom of the spoiler to the garage floor. Hope this helps.

By the way. The black plastic spoiler (front lip) has fairly significant scuffing on the bottom side, from curbs and going in and out of my (fairly flat) driveway. This is in spite of by being pretty careful. Cosmetically, it really isn't noticeable.

ok, got to measure both:

PASM: Front of wheel arch: 5.5 in, Front of Bumper: 7 in

SPASM: Front of wheel arch: 5.1 in, Front of Bumper: 6 in

The most significant difference was at the very front of the bumper-- due to the sport spoiler which projects forward and down- it is almost 1 in lower than the regular PASM.

I have the KW's and ditched the 20's for 19's, and it is def low! No issues on normal roads, but I have to take some driveways and bumps in an angle. Also, keep in mind that the 911 tucks it's butt under WOT, and your headers are basically 2 inches of the ground.

How much drop did you set the KWs for?

Scraping the headers is exactly what I am worried about. I am thinking I will just stay stock, and deal with the fender gap. If I ever go to 20" wheels, I'll get the KW springs and lower the car appropriately to the PASM height.

I believe the SPASM is an additional 10mm lower.

Correct... additional you get that front spoiler lip and the rear spoiler gets up at an higher angle. And of course the ride is a bit firmer.

So SPASM is PDCC+PASM?

Option 031 - PDCC w/ PASM sport suspension?

Nope... SPASM is PASM (which is standard on S models) with a lowered suspension. The PDCC is an additional option and can be added with or without the SPASM.
