X-Pipes for the 991
991 Exhaust
We have noticed ramped up 991 Fabspeed sales this past few months. I have personally sold 3 of our 991 X pipes and our Race Exhausts since the start of summer. I look forward to providing any further information and details for anyone interested.
(if you have this http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/99...th_Valves.html) then you're good, but it will be stinkin' loud! (and interestingly, not louder with the valves open, just closed.)
Unless you have the version that retains the stock side mufflers, the sharkwerks exhaust won't fit. (the M&M/FVD exhaust eliminates the side mufflers...)

Yeah... exhaust really only goes through the side mufflers when the valves are closed, so when open, it likely won't be any louder. It will only be louder closed... and should be just about the same as open.
Good to know, I always thought the x-pipe goes partially through the side muffler as well, even when opened.
I bet with a freer flowing X design, nothing would go through the side mufflers.I have a Cargraphics x pipe coming, and I'm planning to use it with the stock side mufflers.
Tried to pm you, but science I new here, I need at least 15 posts.
Thanks for your advice
The Cargraphics X pipe works fine with the stock PSE control.

Do you happen to have any videos of it? Are you still using the side mufflers? Any drone?
I have a 991 GTS (which comes with PSE), I am trying to find a good comparison between the three most popular X pipes with valves : Cargraphic, FVD and AWE tuning. Did someone try all three systems? I would like to compare:
1. Sound level inside and outside the cabin below and above 3000 rpms
2. Quality of sound below and above 3000 rpms: deep, high pitched, growl, pops and burbles
3. Drone and resonance with valves open and closed
4. Torque below 3000 rpms
5. Any other comments / recommendations are very welcome.
