Seriously?? Are we gonna start a new thread if someone hasn't been online for a while?
Just wrote in my agenda that I don't must forget to report when I go on vacation.
But I agree that he gives wise advices and/or commentary, so for that I can understand you're missing him
Maybe we should introduce whereabouts.... Just like professional athletes. With the difference that for us EPO or other performance-enhancing substances are allowed!

I totally agree. What's wrong with the OP sending him a PM?
Ah okay... Then I want to apologize. I'm not nice, so I didn't really think of that
I'm truly sorry handfull. I'll try to think next time before I write something here.... (Not used to that so forgive me)

Relax, I was just kidding Sanibel. (Sarcastic mood... Can't help it) But I think that's the best idea so far indeed. Let's all chill out.
Alive and well!!!
Thanks to you all for caring about fellow 6speeders! I am just back from a few weeks in Tuscany with little to no Internet access, lots of great wines, fine food and good company. Kind of a rehab' for petrolhead. I try not to go public when I am away for a while. Just too afraid that someone would drop by in my garage and take away my red mistress.
I surely do not deserve so much of your attention and am sorry if this well intended thread has created any tension. Chill out guys -and gals-, we all share the same passion.
As far as the car is concerned... well I'll get back to my journal before the week end
I'll leave you with a few pics from my trip:
Seen at the airport. Best thing you can do with a Toyota hybrid: cut it in two and throw it away (not against fuel economy and preserving the environment, but I drove a compact diesel BMW while I was on vacation that could beat the mileage of a Prius and was a ton more fun)

Spent a few days in my homeland. Belgium, country of surrealism

Then went to Italy. This stop sign in Florence is a nice example of self derision:

Ugliest car I have seen: the Dacia Duster. The name seems appropriate as it seems pretty effective at dusting the roads

Came across a bunch of guys who were on their way from Shanghai to Hamburg:

Yes, this is the interior of a very personalized Fiat Panda. Maybe a source of inspiration for a future project...

...and this is why I did not spend much time on my laptop and hung out outside with a drink and enjoying the view.
