Update on my car

So after 1200 miles and a few mods all I can say is WOW! This car blows away every expectation I've had for it and they were quite high.

I've been keeping it tame and will until I hit 2K which wont be long. But I've pushed it enough to see what's on the dark side.

The car is simply glued to the road, zero hesitation for everything I've asked it to do. The dual character is amazing. Don't push any buttons and you have a totally civilized car that can blend in anywhere. Push a couple of buttons and stomp on it and watch out, the beast is out.

Negatives? Very few. The PCM interface imo is immature, childish but I come from a software background so my expectations are high. Have to hit way to many buttons to do most things, no dual screen. What's the difference between car and info, what about navi and map? Why can I only program one button on my MF wheel? No backup camera? Really? Sat audio quality is crap. I could go on.

Having said that I see it as a minor inconvenience and one gets used to it pretty quickly. A small price to pay for such a machine.

Now, I thought I'd have a little fun. I'm guessing most people here would say they know the 991 pretty well. Let's see, how many mods can you name based on the following four pictures. Feel free to visit the originals and blow them up. Some are not easy to see from the pictures.

1. Pedals modded
2. Clear Bra
3. Rear reflectors painted--- your pipes look darkened but I think they might just be dirty--- partial badging removed

Agree with Vic, and include -- you plastic-dipped rear lettering, you got front light nozzles colored, looks like you blackened the rim of your headlights, you colored the exhaust pipes.

Correct on 1 and 2. Good catch on #2, it's a full wrap so hard to see. Right on the reflectors, pipes are painted black. The badge came that way from the factory. Right on with #4, includes the bulbs btw but you couldn't see that unless they were on. Keep going, there's lots more.

All good catches, the rim for the headlights is part of the black lights from the factory. At least four to go, anyone else?

Looks like you got something installed about your rear view mirror -- a radar detector or laser jammer?

Also, nobody noticed....

The gutter by the entry door has been painted to match the color of the siding....I'm starting to see a pattern of "Insane attention to detail"....

More good catches, yes on spacers 7/14 and headlight sprayers and matts. Yes wheels are painted but from the factory. Nothing installed around mirror but there is something removed.

Three more to go on the inside and one on the outside.

Thanks Ale but I think that's just a combination on lighting and probably reflection from my driveway. No change there.
